My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a compassionate, equanimous nerd with a strong interest in video games (Halberdman is actually an old gamer handle of mine), books, exercise, martial arts, massage (hoping to be an LMT some day), writing, and dancing. I run, lift, and used to bike frequently and I enjoy climbing when I get the chance. It's worth mentioning that I consider myself an intersectional feminist and ally and hope you are at least friendly to the idea of equality. In the future I hope to travel the world (China, Austria, Ireland, and Iceland are big contenders) and learn to cook like a pro. I adore animals of all kinds, the fluffier the better, though big dogs occasionally make me nervous due to bad childhood experiences. I also have a secret soft spot for romance stories that I rarely indulge. Physical intimacy is important to me, but I'm not looking to jump right in (even to something casual) until I know and trust you at least a bit.

I identify as Polyamorous in that I can have multiple serious, loving relationships at the same time. This is kind of a big thing for me, and it does not mean that I am afraid of commitment or am wantonly promiscuous. It does mean that I am all about clear, open, honest communications and abundance model thinking, however. I always enjoy a chat about the ethics and logistics of non-monogamy so that's a talking point if you're looking for an icebreaker :)

I am looking for matches with strong physical chemistry and a lot of emotional connection. My ideal relationship would be one in which the involved partners are sexually compatible, emotionally invested in each other, and find each other interesting on an intellectual level. If we can talk for hours without getting bored, can turn each other on with a glance, and have a lot of interests in common and can discuss high level topics respectfully, I want you in my life.

I'm primarily seeking partners here, be they sexual or romantic. That said, I like to let relationships be what they are; whether that's romantic, platonic, or somewhere in between, so let's get chatting and see where it takes us without any pressure or expectations. Romance aside, I'd love to friend some people on Steam and game a bit too, even if you aren't interested in a relationship or friendship outside of games.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I moved cross-country from Oregon back to Delaware in September '14 and I'm getting myself re-established, opening up my social circle, and continuing to better myself as much as I can. I'm currently seeking work as a network engineer, but what you do with your life is more than just a career. In that sense, I'm focused on making interpersonal connections of all types, nurturing my own mental and physical health and prowess, and giving as much of myself as possible to those I care about.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm a chess wiz and I play a mean game of words with friends. You've been warned.
Massage. I'm no pro, but I study the stuff in my spare time.
'Liking' profiles and then spending days agonizing over what to write to start a conversation. If this happens to you, like me back and I'll feel too guilty to not reply xD
Listening and talking about things that matter and helping people through tough times.
Certain other things that I'd need to be involved with you for you to experience.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
People tell me I'm hard to read, though I like to think of myself as pretty expressive. The eyebrows and eyelashes always get comments. I've had quite a few women express envy over my lashes, weirdly.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Short Version:

I like video games with strong storylines and likeable characters, especially RPGs, though I play at a very high level in RTS/TBS and FPS games as well. I love books in general, but especially science fiction, fantasy, non-fiction, historical fiction, and classics. I tend to prefer Anime to live action TV, but Firefly always tops my list. Musically I'm a mixed bag, ranging from classical to jazz to classic rock to EDM to trance to soundtracks. It really depends on my mood, since for me music is a key to access deep wells of emotion. In terms of food, anything without raw onions is good but I have a soft spot for thai and japanese.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1: Technology, computers are the best of things (especially for video games!)
2: Books, gotta love reading
3: Exercise, I feel so much better after working out
4: People, they're interesting
5: My brother, we're a team
6: Challenges, something to aspire to
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Games I'm playing or want to play, stories I'm reading/writing or want to read/write, deep level strategic analysis of whether to drink that third cup of coffee or not, sex and physical connection and their effect on social relationships, philosophical questions (ethics and free will come up a lot), how I can better use my time to improve myself without driving myself into the ground. Lately Transhumanism has been coming up a lot (ask me about it!)
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Uniting the Germanic peoples under one flag.
