My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I’m a very laid back and positive person. I like to find the good in any given situation and generally put people at ease. I’ve simplified my life in the past 5 years since my divorce and am ready to meet the right person. My friends would tell you that I’m honest and direct, but not in a mean way. I call it “efficient” communication. I know a lot of chicks say this but I really do live a drama-free life. There are of course ups and downs, but I try not to let the “estrogen poisoning” get in the way of rationale thought.

I am looking for a partner to travel with, hike with, and just hang out with. Someone who likes to be outdoors. I love camping but haven’t gone since I sold my truck. I’m into hiking – mostly in Sedona, scuba diving, and caving and try to get on my bike at least once a week to ride along the canal. Since turning 40, I’ve noticed that gravity has taken control of certain parts of my body so going to the gym is also part of my routine. I love to cook at home (especially BBQ) and sit in the backyard enjoying a fire and a glass of wine. I’m into the Culinary Festivals and Historic Home Tours here in town and really enjoy anything that promotes local business. I’m not a fan of the big chain restaurants/stores and you wouldn’t catch me anywhere near a Starbucks. Sorry coffee lovers. Just not my thing.

I don’t have any pets, but I’m partial to dogs (allergic to cats.) I don’t have any kids but I’m an amazing Aunt (so I’ve been told). It’s okay if you have kids, as long as everything is cool between you and the “baby-mama”. Again, trying to keep the drama to a minimum.

I think the key to a successful relationship is honest and open communication. Without communication, there can be no trust. Without trust there can be no love. I also think that a true partnership is 100/100, not 50/50. I would never expect to be successful if I only gave 50% at work, why would anyone think that it would work in a relationship?

If you’re looking for a partner to share life’s adventures with, I’d love to hear from you.

Trying to do no harm. Living each day with purpose.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Making people feel at ease and telling it like it is.
The first things people usually notice about me

I just read Buddhist Boot Camp and loved it. Also a huge Stephen King fan. The Gunslinger Series is a must read. Favorite movie is Shawshank Redemption - it's glued me to the sofa more than once. Also the LOTR Trilogy and the Alien series. My iPod has a little bit of everything from NIN to Usher to Alison Krauss. I'm not a picky eater, but I'm not a fan of seafood. Cooking at home involves a lot of Italian food or grilling/smoking on the Egg. When I go out, I do my best to avoid the chain restaurants and stick to the neighborhood places.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My Camelbak, my Tempurpedic, my passport, the ocean, my hiking shoes, and the Big Green Egg (even though mine is red).
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How people have lost the ability to communicate and connect with each other.
On a typical Friday night I am

at the Art Museum and First Fridays downtown, or enjoying Happy Hour somewhere close to home.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
