My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
In the interest of full disclosure, you should know that I don't live in St. Paul. I live in New Brighton (a suburb). OkCupid's zipcode interpreter spits out St. Paul, and I can't change it. I'd much rather be back in Mpls. (I lived in Uptown for 6 years.)

I'm a comedy nerd and nerd-in-general (though I prefer the term "intellectual") who's also a sports fan. AND I love theater, esp. MUSICAL theater. Politically, I'm far to the Left. I watch "Democracy Now!" daily. So deal with THAT, Society!

I dig stand-up (esp. Patton Oswalt, Mike Birbiglia, Eugene Mirman and the like) and alternative comedy, as demonstrated by podcasts like "Jordan, Jesse, Go!" and Adult Swim (although I'm not crazy about the "Hieronymous Bosch fever dream" direction in which they're going).
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I quit my corporate job in the financial sector last March. It was getting quite stressful and my contempt for capitalism (esp. finance) finally wore down what little motivation I had left. I was also unable to find a non-profit gig. Luckily, I've saved up a tidy sum, so I have a couple years to chart a new course.

Last summer I volunteered at an organic garden that grew food for local food shelves. That was great, and I worked with some cool folks. I'd like to get into organic farming, but those jobs tend to be in the country, and I've always preferred city living.

Now, when it snows, I work as a "snow removal contractor" for a few seniors in Nordeast. My first paycheck was the smallest I've ever received, but it made me feel the best. I'm also volunteering with the Land Stewardship Project. The rest of my time is spent wandering the streets of Uptown, working out at LA Fitness and blogging at Bob's Java Hut or Caffetto.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Comedy, in my humble opinion. I think writing is my calling, but writing jobs are hard to come by. I wrote and performed a (hopefully) humorous, autobiographical one-man show in the 2013 MN Fringe Festival. It's my 4th Fringe as a writer, director and/or performer. My first was in '04 as a member of the sketch comedy troupe "The Half Windsors" (hence the handle). None of the shows made a big splash, but it was a ton o' fun collaborating with really cool, talented actors and comedians. I've also dabbled in stand-up.
The first things people usually notice about me

is my Quietude, although I quickly come out of my shell for the right person.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The future. Like, will apes be our masters? (Extra points if you know the show. If you know the episode, I'm all yours!)
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
generally, at the movies or a play. I usually reserve more active activities for Saturday night, such as patronizing a bar or even singing karaoke. (I've been told I have a lovely singing voice ;^)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I've lived with my parents since '09. It was supposed to be short-term, as these things usually are, but that scenario vanished long ago. After a rough patch, I feel like I've finally grown up, no longer blaming my parents for my struggles and developing gratitude for them.
