My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
My name is Amber. I am a Sagittarius. My third adjective was a play on my name... Amber... Ambient... ha ha, get it?
Ok, maybe it wasn't that funny....

I am no longer single, and in a very happy relationship with a wonderful man who is also my best friend. I am now looking for some buddies and hang out friends. If that is what you are interested in, feel free to message me.

I am a single mother. I have a wonderful 5 year old boy. I like sushi :P
I love snow storms, skinny dipping, and running in the rain.
I love to laugh, and tend to have a dark sense of humor. Many a guy has captured my heart with a good impression, :)

I enjoy watching movies, and cooking.

I am Fiery, Intuitive, and Ambient
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
In my free time, I like to go on long car rides to places I have or have not been before. I also read tarot cards.
Watching movies is a favorite pastime (yay netflix!).

I like to cook. My parents used to own a vegetarian/vegan restaurant, so I do know how to cook pretty well.I am not vegetarian, but I am still not a big meat eater.

I am Jewish and a Witch. I consider Judaism more of a cultural aspect. Witchcraft wise, I am a Hedge witch. This means that I am self practicing, celebrate the full moon and new moon, but usually not the Sabbats or Esabbats I do not practice the religion other than the main holidays. If organized religion is something you're very committed to, we may not get along. Sorry :) It's just a warning.

I have a cat named Kahlua and a kitten named Parker (My son named him after Peter Parker) but tend to be more of a dog person. I also have a chinchilla. This is awesome. Even more awesome than it sounds, actually :)My son has officially named the chinchilla Potato.
I work for a wonderful company called Athena's Home Novelties. I absolutely LOVE my job!

I've also been working on losing weight. I have lost 60 lbs since December of '07
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm a very good tarot reader. I get shy about it though, so it may take a while for me to show you my skill.

I'm a wonderful mother.

My friend Kitten314 says that I am incredible at dealing with Pisces women :) This is quite an accomplishment.

I am very creative. I guess most people could say that :).

I tend to speak before I think.

I am a pretty open book, I don't like to keep secrets, nor am I really any good at it. I buy presents for people and force them to open them right away because I get so excited :)

People always come to me for sex and relationship advice. I have always been the person my guy friends come to for this sort of thing.

Also really good at giving head (cranial) massages.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Guys always tell me that my face is so naturally beautiful. Especially when compared to other girls who pile on the make-up.
I don't like to wear a lot of make-up. Eye liner and eye shadow tend to be too much. Lip gloss is all I usually need :)

Guys say that they love my eyes. I guess they are really expressive. Plus, they change color. Usually grey, but sometimes bright blue or green.

Apparently I am awesome. In fact, I am to cute and awesome to not talk to, according to Rottdog300. Yet another reason to IM me :)

The first thing the last guy I met here said when he met me was "Gosh you're short!" Granted, he was 6'5". I do have a bumber sticker on my Saab 900 that says "Short People Rock!"

I had way too much stuff in here. Now I am narrowing it down to a Top 5 for each category. EDIT: I went home last night and realized that there were tons of things that I wanted to add that I couldn't now that I am using the Top 5 lists, lol.

For ex. The Eagles, The Killers, Travis, and Me First and the Gimmie Gimmies should have been in Music. And for Books, I should have added the Nanny Diaries, Wicked, and how much I love the original Peter Pan and Alice in Wonderland.
And under food the fact that the Jew in me takes over once a week and I have to have a Smoked Salmon sandwich, preferably from Brueggers. Plus, under movies I absolutely love The Labyrinth, anything by or with Quentin Tarintio but especially Kill Bill vol. 1 and Dusk till Dawn and the new Charlie and the Chocolate factory because no matter how good Willy Wonka was, the first one was nothing like the book and that I just saw My Bloody Valentine and thought it was hysterical and wonderfully campy/gore ... Oh yes, I am indecisive :)

Books:
1. Sick Puppy
2. High Fidelity
3. Fight Club
4. The Giver (yeah, its kinda childish, but I've loved it since gradeschool)
5. Guide to Getting it On, any edition.

Movies: This was a hard category... still might change it to more.
1. High Fidelity
2. Amelie
3. Across the Universe
4. Fight Club
5. American Psycho

Music:
1. Van Morrison
2. The Pixies
3. Pink Floyd
4. The Beatles
5. Everclear

Food.
1.Sushi
2.Eggplant Parmesan
3.Pad Thai
4.French Onion Soup
5.Really good pizza w/ stuff like Feta, caramelized onions, eggplant, spinach, artichokes etc. I love to try anything new.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Sushi, My son, Water not in a sense of needing to drink, but because I love to swim and could live in the water. Although I do tend to drink a lot of water :), Books, Music, and Movies. Of course that is not in any particular order.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What my day is going to be like, what I have to make for dinner, supernatural things, and probably more. I tend to be a walking Simpson's quote dictionary.

Why people use net speak. Isn't it just easier to use proper English? Misspellings are natural, but the whole gtg gr8 ttyl c u l8r thing pisses me off.

Why the hell I am an Aquarius magnet... and how to now avoid them.

I tend to use obscure movie or TV quotes like "But its my only line!" and "Won't somebody please think of the children!"

I should add more here at some point.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Fridays tend to be hectic. Fridays are appointment days for my family of two. After, I usually spend the night cleaning for the next week.

I'd really love to be doing something else though.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I don't know how to ride a bike.

I hate those damn Bic Wite-Out wheels with a passion....

Cannibalism scares the hell out of me. Zombies are fine. Gore and blood is great. I love thrillers with twisted serial killers.
But the idea of people who eat people really frightens me. Probably because it is so possible.

I have bad handwriting. No, seriously. Its like bad guy handwriting. Sometimes when I'm tired I can't even read it....

Theres something about guys with (nice) long hair that makes me weak at the knees. Guys in highschool that never caught my eye, and that I was just never interested would grown their hair out, and my brain would be like "Ooh! When did he get cute?"
Granted, my first crush ever as a kid was on David Bowie. That probably contributed...

I am not someone that often says "I love you". There are other ways of expressing love, and its too easily thrown around these days.

I believe in love at first sight and soul mates. Oops. This has gotten me into trouble.
A friend of mine says that my biggest personality default is the fact that I truly believe that there is good in every human. This should be a good thing, but in this day and age it comes back and bites me in the ass constantly.

... Yeah, I put a lot of stuff here. Probably because I think its little truths like this that really tell you what kind of person someone is. I hate seeing profiles where people say things like "wouldn't you like to know" or "Ask me." Its a pretty easy question, and there is no reason to not answer it.
I’m looking for
  • Everybody
  • Ages 20–35
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating, casual sex
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
If you like Asian food, the Simpsons, kids, supernatural phenomenon, dark humor, and snowstorms, then send me a message.

I love jokes, so that would be a great way to start a message.
I also tend to fall for the quirky guys.

I do request that before you message me please read through my two posts on the kind of people I do not want to contact me. If you break 3 or more of those, please do not contact me. I am getting tired of turning away 50yr olds who live more then 500 miles from me...

But seriously, I do enjoy talking. I don't mind having intriguing conversations with interesting people. So, if you are actually interesting in chatting, then by all means send me a message.
