Wow, OK Cupid is WAY too much for me. Ugh.

I'm not into couples, OK guys?

I'm a first-year PhD student.

Laughing hysterically and alarmingly at things that really aren't funny, finding new and exotic things to worry about, statistics, which is surprising, because I have dyscalculia (it's a real thing!), doing shots without a chaser, making boxes, organizing bookshelves and the items on top of my dresser, thrift store shopping, cooking, navigating without a map, hailing cabs.

Well the first thing I noticed about myself was that I was a baby. But things have changed since then.

My favorite novel is Wuthering Heights. I love Sherlock Holmes, especially the stories, but also all film and television adaptations, no matter how objectively bad they are. I like reading about genetics and Shakespeare.

Mumford and Sons, The Civil Wars, Dropkick Murphy's, Woody Guthrie, Joanie Mitchell, Bob Dylan, Simon and Garfunkel, Johnny Cash, just about anything really...but I'm in a folksy phase. I used to say "everything but rap and country" before I realized that I really like rap and country.

I'm so easily entertained by TV and movies, I'll watch almost anything. Except Entourage. That show made me stabby. I grew up without a TV, and although I'm not completely unaware of pop culture references, I am not a native speaker of 90's Nickelodeon shows like most people my age. I also wasn't allowed to watch anything Disney as a kid , or any other kid's movie that didn't meet my parent's feminist standards, and as a result, I didn't see too many movies as a kid. I did recently see all the Star Wars movies, and I thought they were overrated but adorable.

As for food, I'm a vegetarian, but I love cooking new things, including meat!

Wow, I'm not very good at listing things I like.

Hummus. Coffee. Whiskey. NPR. My toaster oven. Clean socks.

Note--my toaster oven broke. TRAGEDY.

Whether my bottom lip is crooked. I think it probably is.

Debating whether it's worthwhile to get my ass out of bed and into pants in order to go out. So, in other words, drinking wine and watching Netflix.

I don't really love New York City.
