When I want to know what someone is about I usually ask them what
they love or what makes them feel most alive.
As for me, moving my body, exercising my mind and exploring self
awareness are the things that bring me alive.
Moving the body - dance, capoeira, yoga, running on the
beach.
Exercising the mind - nature studies, learning a new language,
exploring conscious communications.
Exploring self awareness - watching my thoughts and emotions and,
here's the important part: knowing the difference between my
projections/thoughts and my feelings/perceptions. AND, last but not
least, taking responsibility for my emotions. Meaning YOU don't get
blamed for how I feel. It's really nice, actually...

Sometimes I think I'm doing too much, other times I wonder if I'm
doing anything at all. Here's what my life ends up looking
like:
Traveling. Thankfully that happens fairly frequently. Mostly to
teach contact improvisation dance, sometimes to perform (I used to
be - and sometimes still am - a professional juggler. I know, you
don't read that in every profile. It's not true, but I want to
stand out somehow among the crowd. You don't know me so I have to
explain here that I'm joking. I am a second-generation professional
juggler, it's just not my main thing right now so sometimes I
forget it. Anyway, moving on...)
When I’m home I spend my time doing bodywork for a living. For fun
and body/mind balance I practice yoga and Capoeira (a Brazilian
dance/martial art). I also dance a few times a week.
I have a company leading wilderness trips.
I live on a BIG HILL here in the city. It's great for getting in
shape in terms of biking up a couple times a week but it's like
living in a permanent fog bank. So, I'm dreading the long SF winter
and dreaming of someplace warm to break it up. Anyone in Brazil or
Hawaii want an itinerant contact improvisation teacher to come
visit???
Well, besides the stupid human tricks like juggling, handstands and
rope-walking (which quickly lose their mystery), I'm pretty good
at:
Making people laugh
Traveling
Taking emotional risks
Staying present and communicating in the midst of challenging
emotions
Giving a great massage
Staying out of debt
You've got clear eyes - and a good head on your shoulders.
You've got a soft heart between your breast bone and your back
bone.
You are tired of the games typically played between men and women.
(Man chases woman, woman plays coy, woman finally comes around, man
then backs away.)
You are willing to be honest even if your voice shakes - and can
balance truth with kindness and compassion.
You are not looking for someone "to complete you." As if that were
possible...
You can be fun, present, silly and adventurous.
