My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
As you can see from my pics, I don't take myself too seriously but I do like to have fun.

I'm not much of a tv watcher, but I like movies a lot. I love music and will go out any night to any venue if the show is going to be good.

I'm really, super-spoiled by my job. Every time I walk in the building, I am amazed to be working in such an iconic place.

I like to travel and I've seen a lot of the U.S., The Caribbean and Latin America. Working on seeing the rest.

Originally from Texas, but I feel like I belong on the East Coast.

I've gotten very into fitness lately and ran my first 5K in November. I've got a few races lined up for the coming months including my first Spartan Race in March.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm a Tech Manager at a TV network (the one with a bird for its logo).

Also, just put together a little cover band that plays in Connecticut under the working title "Four Non Jocks".
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm a decent guitar player, a tolerably bad singer & I'm snappy with the one-liners.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I mentioned the hair, right? Actually, I'm pretty laid back so that's probably what people notice.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Musical tastes vary but I like the really great song-writers: Jeff Buckley, Norah Jones, Regina Spektor, Elliot Smith, Sufjan Stevens, Fiona Apple, Leonard Cohen, Brandy Clark. The roots rockers: John Hiatt, Robert Randolph, Jason Isbell, Holly Williams, Lindi Ortega. I like The Iridium Jazz Club in Times Square a lot.

Last great shows I saw were Ryan Adams, Fitz & The Tantrums and Noah Gundersen!!! Oh yeah, and I might have snuck in to watch Prince's rehearsal for SNL.

Authors I love include: Mario Vargas Llosa, Margaret Atwood, Jeffrey Eugenides, Marilynne Robinson, Michael Chabon, Zadie Smith, John Irving, Geraldine Brooks, Junot Diaz, Nicola Barker, Anthony Marra, Michael Ondaatje, V.S. Naipaul, Roberto Bolaño, among many others. Also, I think Seth Godin is a genius (a remarkably accessible genius at that).

One of my favorite movies is The Fall by Tarsem. I also have a weakness for Almost Famous and Once. Otherwise, I like smart movies and films that make you think. But I also like movies that can make me laugh. Also, Miyazaki movies are the best!!!
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
a sense of humor about things
a purpose/goal
beautiful music - like Beethoven's 7th or "Moonlight Mile" by The Stones.
My guitar

Everything else is a bonus!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I need a new guitar (I really don't but I always think I do).

That band, The Smithereens.

How to be more like Ron Swanson.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I try to play gigs in small venues on Thursdays and Friday nights. I tend to work most weekends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm no longer a religious person, but in a former life I was a missionary in South America.

there's a band you really want to see and have no one to go with you, or you really like to talk about books.

If you've made it this far, you're probably not a ruthless window-shopper. So, thanks for that!
