Trying to tap into my own artistic voice and become a feminist performing artist. But am easily distracted by social life and fabulous parties. Also am still at school; excited to graduate to be able to explore more freely!

Am at Concordia, in a program called Theatre and Development. We study a lot of theatre for social change, different ways of creating (ex: collective creation), community engaged and community informed arts, etc.

Favourite novel so far: A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith
(This one will be beaten someday, I'm certain. It's a brilliant work but I'm not very well read in terms of fiction... the past few years I've been on a frenetic non-fiction binge! As though I'm scared to lose myself in a novel and be disconnected from the world.)

Favourite non-fiction book: WILD THEATRE, A History of One Yellow Rabbit by Martin Morrow

Favourite tv show, which I doubt will ever be beat, because I doubt that I will ever be as engaged with a tv show as I was when I was 13: Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Movies, music and food are hard! So many!

#1, the capacity and opportunity for critical thought, and the mental and physical space to challenge and interpret the world around me

#2, feminism specifically

#3, artistic experiences

#4, children being around at least sometimes

#5, the freedom to put together my own outfits/construct my own physical image

#6, celebrations with friends, whether they be parties or potlucks or anything! Any kind of collective release of tension and embracing of the moment

Where the world is headed. And how can I, as the unique being I am, contribute something useful and positive to that future? While having a blast and enjoying myself along the way? I refuse to give up one over the other!

Also, feminism is a massive part of the lens through which I consider these things. I spend a lot of time thinking about gender. If you're really passionate about re-thinking gender identity, we could have a great time exchanging thoughts.

Note about that: I think it's really not okay that OKcupid has only "male" and "female" for gender options, and if you're someone with a different or more fluid identity, know that I'm cool with it, no questions asked ;) It says "bisexual" on my profile, but even that word is limiting because it suggests there are only two options! Screw that. I think each person's gender is as individual as their thumbprint.

At a performance, vernissage, or artistic happening of some kind. And then a queer dance party or loft party or something. In Mile End more often than not.
