I like a witty sense of humour. I like banter. I can be a little (or a lot) quirky. I secretly find it irritating when people say, “I’m so weird!” and then stick their tongue out in an attempt to prove their point. “Lame,” I think. “Come back to me when you’ve spent an entire afternoon talking in an English accent and your dog doesn’t recognize her own name because she has too many nicknames.”
I’m girly. I love beautiful things. I think they make the world better. I love to go to the art gallery or the ballet (although I don’t do it enough), flip through magazines, obsess over the pretty things I find on Pinterest, peruse design blogs, and go out for nice dinners. I’m definitely a romantic. Picnics. Flowers. Candles. Kisses. Bring it on (please and thank you). But I also have a nerdy side. I kinda like techy stuff. No TV is too big to me. While some girls might cringe at the idea of a 60” TV in their house, I would probably wish it was a wee bit bigger and had surround sound.
I would love to be with someone who is just as ridiculous as I am and thinks spending an afternoon talking in silly accents is a great idea. Someone who’s happy to spend an evening watching episodes of The Walking Dead. Someone who likes to head out for a nice dinner or out to a pub for drinks with friends.
That said I think chemistry is a lot more important than compatibility. I’m the ultimate girly girl –give me anything with a bow on it and I go crazy. But I don’t need a guy to join me at the ballet or art gallery. So if you’re a guys guy, that’s totally fine!
What I really want is to be in a relationship that feels entirely comfortable. I want my heart to feel safe with whomever I end up with. I want an affectionate and playful relationship. I want to be in a relationship that’s based on respect and admiration.
