But on my days off I like to work for the commercial banking division of a local Credit Union (an odd combination I know, but one does need down-time after trudging through the jungles).
Its been a while since I have updated this site - much has changed since this was last updated.
Well, I just got into my new condo and am still setting stuff up, waiting on furniture delivery etc etc. Great to be back in Edmonton now after 2 years in Fort McMurray.

What I’m doing with my life
Right now I am just trying to find my piece of the pie, my inner
happiness, whatever that means. The eternal quest continues ;-)
Most of my time is spent at work and volunteering with the local
chamber of commerce. When I have some me time, I like to get out
cross country skiing, mountain biking, and having bbq's with
friends and family - well now that the snow is almost falling, its
more like cooking for friends and family!

I guess if this is asking for your best attributes, then it only fits to put in a few weaknesses (I know I will probably regret this later ;-) I guess I am a bit analytical---kinda fits with the whole banker thing, but man it would be nice to shut off the brain once and a while.

The first things people usually notice about me
Usually people notice my smile I guess. I am an eternal optimist
and try to enjoy myself no matter what I am doing. I am also pretty
outgoing and love meeting new people. Like the Pet Shop Boys said,
you can never be bored if you aren't boring.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
For all of the above I guess the best way to explain my tastes
would be eclectic. For food I developed a love of Japanese food
while I worked for an Internet company in Tokyo. My tastes run the
gamut from Turkish to Swiss and almost everything in between. I
also love to entertain and cook for friends. There is nothing
better than a comfortable evening with good food, good wine and
good friends.
For movies and books, I love sci-fi and fantasy (yeesh, how male can you get;-). I also love b-movies, the cheesier the better (anyone up for Mothra vs. Godzilla?).
My tastes in music can generally be categorized as leaning to the electronic side. Industrial (VNV, Skinny Puppy, Assemblage 23) down beat (Kruder & Dorfmeister)to more folksy (The Shins, Jose Gonzales, Ben Harper, Jack Johnson etc). I am pretty much open to anything music wise.

My family, a sense of well being and inner happiness, a sense of
direction in life, good friends to share that life with, good food
