I am kind, silly, and positive.

My Self-Summary

Thanks for taking the time to read my ad - I guess I will start by telling you a little about me. It is probably the biggest cliche every - but I am a very outdoorsy person (I work as a fish biologist, and am outside quite a bit for my job) I am pretty much a big nerd. I love to spend time with my dog, reading, listening to music, trying to cook, watching movies, and kayaking.

I am a friendly, down to earth, positive, patient, outgoing, intelligent and honest person. I value people who also have these traits. I am looking for someone who enjoys adventures, is friendly, thoughtful, can be silly, has a good sense of humor, and is kind. Also, you must be a dog lover!

What I’m doing with my life

As stated above, I work as a fish biologist. I LOVE my job: I feel that I am able to help and give back to the environment, and my work is something that I really get excited about. That said, I do put a lot of time and effort into my work.

I just finished taking a grad level class, and I might be starting a graduate program at OSU at some point in the future.

I’m really good at

I'm not sure... I'm sure there are lots of things that I am simply swell at, but they aren't coming to mind right now (and isn't this a rather narcissistic section anyway?).

The first things people usually notice about me

My laugh - I have a rather loud and unique laugh, and find humor in lots of things.

Part of me thinks that I should write "my beautiful dreamy eyes" but in reality my goofy laugh is most likely what people will first notice about me.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books - Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, Catch-22, Sometimes a Great Notion, most of Palahniuk's stuff, the Harry Potter series (I'm a HP nerd... and not ashamed of it!), Cannery Row, and High Fidelity are probably at the top of the list. I love to read, and am typically working on multiple books at the same time.

Movies - Silence Of The Lambs, Amelie, Fight Club, Sin City, Schindler's List, Star Wars, Good Will Hunting, 40 Year Old Virgin, Arrested Development, and many many others... I enjoy watching Myth Busters, and am addicted to The Office.

Music - I am into a wide variety of music, but most of what I listen to is in the indie-alt. rock. The Pixies, Grandaddy, The Muse, Belle And Sebastian, The Flaming Lips, Anamanaguchi, The Unicorns, Islands, Devotchka, Loney Dear, Arcade Fire, The Decemberists, Ben Folds, Modest Mouse, Blackalicious, Coldplay, R.E.M., Gorillaz, NoFx, Pink Floyd, Scissor Sisters, Pink Martini... lots. I often have music going, and sing along to it rather loudly and poorly.

Food - I love to cook! I eat a lot of "ethnic" foods, and love sushi and Japanese food. I also make a mean yellow curry, I enjoy Mexican and Chinese, and am always up for good old American food (burgers, etc.). I eat healthy (when I've run out of junk food... haha).

The six things I could never do without

I love animals, and I can't see myself not living with or around some sort of animals or pets. Right now I have my dog, Tuco and a 15 year old Green Tree Boa named Forest (a hold over from a very nerdy childhood...).

What else... probably a tooth brush (it drives me INSANE to go without brushing), music (my mp3 player...), close friends, access to the outdoors, rainy days.

Editors

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Fish (sad, but true).

Actually I have plenty of deep philosophical musings... but I certainly won't bore you with them here.

On a typical Friday night I am

Usually hanging out with friends. I am not big on the party or bar scene (favorite bar - Squirrels) but do enjoy going out on occasion. I would much rather hang out with a group of friends getting dinner, playing board games, watching some bad zombie-horror movie, etc.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I one time cross dressed to sell myself off for a charity event... I think I made nearly $10.

You should message me if

I sound interesting at all. I really enjoy women that have a bit of a silly or nerdy streak in them, at least from time to time. Thanks for taking the time to look at my profile - good luck!
