My Self-Summary

I'm kind of shy when I first meet people(like pretty much everyone on here), but once I open up, I'm just a big dorky goofball. I make lame jokes, crack myself up over things that make absolutely no sense and talk gibberish most of the time. I love music of all types and I'm very passionate about singing. I think perfect harmony is one of the best sounds in the world. I am also passionate about writing. Whether writing poems, songs, short stories or full length novels, I just love putting words down on paper. My friends say I'm a big dork and I don't deny it. Life's too short to be serious all the time. Don't you think so?

What I’m doing with my life

I'm currently working part-time taking care of a lady who has MS. It's not a lot of hours, but it pays the bills. I am also attending Mott Community College full time...don't know what I'm doing yet though. I guess I could lie to myself and pick something random, say I have it all figured out, but that kind of thing always backfires. So I'm just gonna go with the flow and see where life takes me. Actually, what I really want to do is become a novelist, but the odds of getting published are not very high. So see, I do have ambitions. They're just not that realistic.

I’m really good at

avoiding confrontation. It's a bad habit really since my emotions just tend to bottle up and blow up when I'm not paying attention, but I'm pretty good at hiding that too. I'm working on fixing that problem though. I've been told I'm good at singing too, but I'm not great. I can carry a tune though. I also like to think I'm a pretty decent writer..mostly in the fiction area. I'm not that great at writing song lyrics or poetry.

The first things people usually notice about me

It's always been the quiet thing. It doesn't take me long to open up, as long as the other person isn't the shy type, then we might have trouble communicating. The more open you are with me, the easier it is for me to open up to you. Which also means I'm not the type of person to make the first move, online or in person. My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I love all kinds of books, but my favorite three would have to be A Painted House by John Grisham, I Capture The Castle by Dodie Smith and Inkheart by Cornelia Funke. I'm a big movie fanatic as well. Especially musicals because I love things that I can sing along to. My favorite musicals are My Fair Lady, Moulin Rouge, and Rent. Although, I also love Chicago and I recently discovered Reefer Madness: The Movie Musical. Musically, I'm all over the map. I don't think there is any genre I can't appreciate in some way. That's not to say I know all kinds of music, but I will give everything a try. I'm kind of a picky eater sometimes, but I will try new things.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

everything. The decisions I make, the decisions I need to make, what other people are thinking...okay so not everything, but a lot of things. My mind is definitely not a blank. It's more like a vast minefield of randomness, :P.

On a typical Friday night I am

Hanging out with my friends, playing games, watching a movie or tv, or just talking about random things. Sometimes I even create random tests. I have a couple(How Fickle Are you? and How Paranoid Are You?). You should take them. They're fun. They may not be accurate...I haven't really asked anybody if they ring true, but they are amusing.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I talk in my sleep. Really random stuff too. Not anything extremely personal or incriminating, just amusing. For example, I once told someone my house has three bathrooms, but only two of them have toilets. That's not even close to being true and I have no idea why someone would have a bathroom with no toilet, but that's what I said.
