Submissiveish, I am a masochist with a low pain threshold, which I’m hoping to raise a little higher. At the moment I seem to be primarily driven by psychological and emotional masochism, which most often manifest as a desire to be degraded and used. Although something of a novice, you don’t have to talk to me for very long to discover that my kinks are diverse and transgressive, and can quickly grow dark. I am a fairly twisted little pup, but I giggle just as much as I cry.

I have several casual relationships in my life at the moment, all with people I hold very dear. However, I would also like something more committed with the potential for a long term partnership. Additionally, I am looking for my Daddy. Whether I will find partnership and Daddy in one person I do not know, but I am seeking both.

To be clear: I am ethically non-monogamous, which means I am not interested in helping anyone cheat. Also, whilst I am struggling with the term “submissive”, I am definitely not dominant, so unless you like to take the upper hand, we’re not going to click. Finally, I’m really not interested in anyone under 30 unless you are exceptionally mature and (perhaps) bearded. It’s just how I roll.

This week I am: getting drunk and doing puzzles with my cousins for two days; celebrating my twenty-third birthday in quiet style; watching Cosmopolis and then off-setting that with Liberal Arts; keeping house whilst my Ma is away; editing some stories; getting started on both my Medieval/Renaissance literature coursework, and my etymology coursework; going to an Easter-themed munch with two gorgeous lovers, one of whom may or may not wish to punish the puppy…; writing about non-monogamy; trying to remember how to time my washing and drying now that the tumble-dryer has packed it in; and editing the next episode of my podcast. Amongst many other little tasks and large projects.

Handing out the tough love. List-writing and organisation. Baking. Making it sound like I’ve read books I actually haven’t. Taking compliments. Procrastinating. Being really opinionated, but pretty well-informed. Doing poor-man’s versions of West Side Story choreography. Getting pissed off about ignorance and disinterest.

That I am a curvy, curvy girl. And my smile. Or my tits. Or my incredibly middle-class voice - if someone happens to hear me before he sees me.

I like my entertainment like I like my sex: dark, bizarre, and a little bit surprising. The best films I’ve seen in the past year are Black Narcissus, Drive, Sleeping Beauty, Holy Motors, The Blair Witch Project, and A Royal Affair. I also enjoyed Friends with Kids and Bridesmaids - so I’m just dark-minded, rather than completely emo. I find it ridiculously easy to become addicted to TV shows and have watched some truly terrible stuff, but if I had my way, there’d be a lot more South Park, Bob’s Burgers, and Mad Men on TV.

As a literature student I read a lot of books but Cherries in the Snow (Emma Forrest), Fight Club (Chuck Palahniuk), and Wise Children (Angela Carter) have been my favourites for a few years now. Other much-loved authors include Anaïs Nin, Virginia Woolf, Ian McEwan (despite having issues with his climaxes), Remittance Girl, and Will Crimson. I also read a lot of blogs and poetry.

My taste in music is really diverse, but my top ten recording artists (in no particular order) are David Bowie, Radiohead, Scott Matthews, Manic Street Preachers, Rufus Wainwright, Damon Albarn, Fleet Foxes, Björk, Patrick Wolf, and Steely Dan. Opera and classical music also play an important role in my life.

As for food, despite being a big girl who enjoys her food, I actually enjoy cooking more. I would rather cook Christmas dinner than eat it; but I’ll do both if it's required of me.

How life is a series of little annoyances interrupted every now and then by wonderful or terrible events; how irritating it is when people underestimate themselves; and how amazing it is that people can survive the things they do. We take a lot of painkillers, but we also have mothers who made it through child-birth.

Deep stuff like that. Or I’m creating new collective nouns.

Flirting and drinking G&Ts in Soho. Or eating take-away with my Mum and complaining about Friday night television. Or writing. Or lying in the bath, listening to podcasts. Or enjoying an old fashioned kidnapping.

My back is my sweet spot. Particularly if you have a pinwheel to hand.
