My self-summary
Perverse, non-monogamous, English rose type, twitter-addict, body confident fat girl, studying literature, talking about sex, and attempting to write in the midst of the smoke.

Although I am not single, the circumstances of my current relationships mean I do not have a core/primary partner. I love the people I am with, and have no intention of letting them go!, but the time has come for me to find a partner with whom I can share more.

To that end, I am looking for a man, at least ten years older than me, who is exceptionally open-minded, available for something substantial and committed, who doesn’t live a hundred miles away! (Bonus points if he’s willing to read me bed-time stories.)

If you want to know more about me from a kink point of view, I am LittleGrinning on FetLife. I don't usually add people I don't know, but feel free to say hello.
What I’m doing with my life
This week: I had a long dinner with three friends; I purposefully made very few plans for the weekend; I watched two seasons of Girls in 6 days; I legitimately invited one of my partners to my place of work; I fell more deeply in love with T.S. Eliot; I made beef stew for the first time; I posted a lot of nude photos on twitter; I saw ‘Le sexe qui parle’; I marvelled at how long my nails are getting; my brother and I taught a music class for a group of teenagers; I wrote the call for submissions for an anthology I’m going to edit this Summer; I saw The Wolf of Wall Street; I lost my glasses!; I had my leg torn up by an over-excited kitten while we were playing “fetch”…
I’m really good at
Handing out the tough love. List-writing and organisation. Baking. Making it sound like I’ve read books I actually haven’t. Taking compliments. Procrastinating. Being really opinionated, but pretty well-informed. Doing poor-man’s versions of West Side Story choreography. Getting pissed off about ignorance and disinterest.
The first things people usually notice about me
That I am a curvy, curvy girl. And my smile. Or my tits.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I like my entertainment like I like my sex: dark, and a little surprising. The best films I’ve seen in the past year are Drive, Sleeping Beauty, Holy Motors, The Blair Witch Project, Stoker, and A Royal Affair. On the lighter side, I also enjoyed Friends with Kids and Bridesmaids. And if I had my way, there’d be a lot more South Park, Bob’s Burgers, Mad Men, and Girls on TV.

As a literature student I read a lot, but I especially love Cherries in the Snow, Fight Club, The Crying of Lot 49 and Wise Children. Other much-loved writers include Anaïs Nin, Virginia Woolf, Ian McEwan (despite his problematic climaxes) and e.e. cummings.

My top ten recording artists (in no particular order) are David Bowie, Radiohead, Scott Matthews, Manic Street Preachers, Rufus Wainwright, Damon Albarn, Fleet Foxes, Björk, Patrick Wolf, and Steely Dan. Opera also plays an important role in my life, but I shan't go into it here lest it fill the entire page.

I love English food (I know; not very gourmet), but am also very happy with Italian, Chinese, and Japanese. Though anything homemade is pretty pleasing.
The six things I could never do without
1. Earl grey tea
2. Deep, intellectual discussion/debate
3. A bath tub
4. Podcasts (especially the Savage Lovecast and Radiolab)
5. Technology (i.e. my phone, laptop, and camera)
6. A firm hand on my throat from time to time
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How life is a series of little annoyances interrupted every now and then by wonderful or terrible events; how irritating it is when people underestimate themselves; and how amazing it is that people can survive the things they do. We take a lot of painkillers, but we also have mothers who made it through child-birth.

Deep stuff like that. Or I’m creating new collective nouns. A 'lilting' of lightbulbs? A ‘steeple’ of bishops?
On a typical Friday night I am
Struggling to stay awake, or grumpy because someone is keeping me awake. I’m more fun on Saturday nights.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
My back is my sweet spot. Particularly if you have a pinwheel to hand.
