I am funny, active, and a dork.

My Self-Summary

Pseudo new to the area and looking to meet some people and explore the city. I like those who or full of life and enjoy staying active. I'm pretty happy at home on the computer or TV, but at the same time I love to run hashes or marathons whenever possible. Spontaneity seems to keep me busy and I enjoy others who are similar in trying new things :P.

I am a huge fan of art/design and different musical genres. Usually I can be found crawling the NoDa art shows or chatting with whatever local artists/musicians I run into at the Common Market.

Just recently began running 5ks/10ks and look forward to expanding into marathons or Tris, I like to keep pretty active and anyone that is willing to at least try something new (even if it is only once :P) is awesome in my book.

I am a bit old fashioned I suppose when it comes to dating. Bar crawls and dance clubs are great, but I am a bigger fan of grilling out and a movie. Family/ friends are important to me and I like those that share the sentiment.

Cheers

What I’m doing with my life

Recently moved back to Charlotte due to work. I work mostly as a designer/ IT guy but I do just about anything that pops up. Outside of work I enjoy helping out with Habitat for Humanity or doing charity runs. Id rather wear too many hats than too few...

I’m really good at

Running, Soccer, Cooking, Trying new things and Traveling.

Guess I'll try to break it down beyond that... I began running when I moved into the area and despite the slow start, I have become addicted to it I suppose. I enjoy all aspects of it, from hashing (its great and if you have never tried it you should) to hiking/trail runs. I recently finished my first 5k and am currently working on my 10k pace and trying to complete a sub-20min 5k.

I have been a huge fan of soccer for as long as I can remember and I have played it since I was 4. I love to play and watch it ( big fan of Chelsea and Everton ) and I can usually be found in an irish or english pub watching the games.

I am a pretty decent cook (IMHO) and I enjoy grilling out with friends or attempting to cook at the house far more than eating out.

As for the new things and traveling, I'll try just about anything once and I enjoy the company of others that share a similar outlook... I dont really see the borders or restrictions when I look at my life, I try to challenge myself whenever possible and I admire people that do the same...

The first things people usually notice about me

My laugh... Pretty iconic I guess and I find humor in most things so it is employed often... Also, I seem to be missing a dimple...

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Recently...
Books: In Defense of Food, A Peoples History of the United States, Watchmen and Gödel, Escher, Bach...

Music: I tend to enjoy Rock/ Metal and related genres the most, however I listen to just about everything...

The six things I could never do without

Obligatory family and friends aside...

Running/Hashing
Art/Design/Print
Beer (The good stuff, I'm looking at you Duck Rabbit)
Cooking/Grilling
Music
Books

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Im pretty introspective and I tend to constantly evaluate myself and push myself to improve... I enjoy taking the time to look at how I got to where I am and where I am headed... Science and physics.. Sounds dulls, but the sheer forces at work seem incredible to me and I love reading up on them...

On a typical Friday night I am

In NoDa or at a bar/pool hall hanging out with friends...

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

Im an introvert... At least until I find common ground :P...

You should message me if

You enjoy being active or trying new things.
You are new to the area.
Enjoy the Arts/ Design side of Charlotte.
Looking for conversation on subjects ranging from philosophical to childhood cartoons :P...
