My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I just moved to Roanoke for a job and I'm getting used to the area!

I'm fairly laid back, friendly, and polite. I'm into quite a few nerdy things, though I try to keep as active and social as I can. When I find something I like I tend to throw myself into it 100%. I love to cook, a lot. I love martial arts and get antsy when I'm not studying at least one. I play videogames, though I have less and less time for that. I'm on the internet a lot, either looking up information for a unit I'm teaching or just looking at stupid things to make me laugh. If I'm not laughing, making someone laugh, or laughing at someone else's humor, I'm having a bad day. I have an unhealthy obsession with the Food Network and the NFL. I'm also a BIG dog lover (as in I love dogs a lot, not that I love big dogs). I got a bulldog!

I tend to get weirder the longer you know me. I guess it's a defense mechanism from growing up but I typically start very reserved and quiet, usually speaking or commenting very neutrally. But when I know I've got your trust/your comfortable around me, I tend to open up and you'll know we've clicked if we suddenly have a ton of stupid inside jokes.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Entering year two of my job, taking over as yearbook and newspaper sponsor!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Listening, reading, talking really fast, confusing the hell out of people by making obscure references to completely random things, other things I'm not remembering right now.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I suppose that I'm fairly plain and I haven't asked so I don't really know what physically about me is noticeable. . .
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I haven't read anywhere near as much as I should since college keeps getting in the way. My favorite book of all time is Romance of the Three Kingdoms. I enjoy reading comics and manga, but haven't had the time nor the money to do so in a while.

I love animated movies and think that it's a dying medium that needs to survive. I can watch almost anything and enjoy it to some extent or another, though I tend to stay away from slasher horror flicks because I find them mindless (and not in the good way, like some comedies).

My favorite TV shows have started to revolve around food and comedy, I guess because I love to eat and laugh. I also watch a lot football and hockey when nothing else is on. This will probably put off a lot of people, but I tend to really dislike reality TV.

I like to think that I love music, but I'm kind of closed off in terms of being introduced to new stuff. It's not that I won't like it, I just typically don't gravitate to stuff that I'm being urged to listen to. My tastes range but are mainly off-center. Some current favorites are M O O N, Perturbator, Noir Deco, Nujabes, Parov Stelar, the Asteriods Galaxy Tour, Alice in Chains, Motorhead, Faunts, K'Naan, Queen, Skindred, and a bunch of other gibberish. I can listen to almost anything, though.

I love food, a lot. I"ll eat almost anything. Put it in front of me and I'll probably eat it and enjoy it. I also want to learn how to cook better so I can make gorgeous and delicious dishes. I find it incredibly relaxing to cook.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. My family
2. My friends
3. My computer
4. My phone, which doubles as a computer
5. My Nugget
6. My dog
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
At this point, lesson plans and how I'm going to budget.

How the heck am I going to sponsor two clubs that I have no prior experience in.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Usually at home, relaxing. I hate to say it but I'm not much of a party guy. Now, if you and a bunch of friends want to watch a movie with dinner and some drinks, I'm all for it. But going out, overpaying for drinking, and grinding with a bunch of strangers isn't my cup of tea.

Now it's grading!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

I used to do medieval reenactment swordsmanship.

And I really miss it =[

I recently got into tabletop RPGs and think they're ridiculously fun. Only problem is I don't have anyone to play with.
