I am creative, intelligent, and fun.

My Self-Summary

I'm a published creative writer, so I could easily fill this space up a million times over, but if there's one thing I've learned during my thousand years of experience on dating sites it's that less is more. So I'll just say that I work a lot but would rather play a little more.

What I’m doing with my life

I recently wrote and produced a short film, so I've been following its festival tour around the country in order to make contacts for the potential feature version. I just got back from Los Angeles and earlier this summer it played in New York. Next month it's back to New York and Orlando.

I’m really good at

writing. (Ironic, isn't it?)

The first things people usually notice about me

I think that's pretty easy to guess from my defining characteristics, unfortunately. But once in a dozen blue moons, I'll hear "your eyes." And then there was that one crazy night at Gasparilla when a woman came out of nowhere, grabbed my butt and ran off screaming "That was AWESOME!" That was one of the top 10 moments of my entire life (although I suppose to most women that experience is "every night in Ybor or downtown St. Pete").

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

My favorite author is Flannery O'Connor, though my favorite book is "Flowers for Algernon." My favorite poet is e e cummings. My favorite movie is "Edward Scissorhands"; my favorite fairly recent movie is "City of God." I was a movie critic for a few years and have seen nearly every movie released this decade so I could go on forever here but I will spare you. Although I'm another "I like all types of music" kind of person, my favorite is definitely alt rock and my favorite band these days is probably still Radiohead, who I saw in concert last year. Again, I could list hundreds here. I definitely enjoy Italian food the most, but I also into many types of Asian cuisine. I don't get French food. (Not counting French fries.)

The six things I could never do without

In 2007 I learned I could pretty much do without anything.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

over the past year, no doubt, the film.

On a typical Friday night I am

working.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I occasionally wake up to find my pillow in my kitchen or bathroom. I never have any memory of how it left the bed. Yes, that sounds like a "Stepbrothers" subplot. Art imitates life (and vice versa).

You should message me if

you think you could like me. Or, you're just interested in me as a scientific experiment (it's happened a few times).
