My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I have a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with a minor in Robotics. I want to pursue a career in special effects/animatronics or at least something focused in robotics, but I'm not quite there yet. I'm relaxing this summer before I get serious in the Fall. I was one of those kids who played with fire and built things from random scrap in the basement. I love to laugh and I love people who I can easily laugh with. I'm pretty active and I usually don't like staying still for very long. Enjoying the little things in life is important to me. Dogs and kids are awesome. My range of interests are pretty broad. Snowboarding, hiking, sailing, swimming, camping, traveling, getting lost on a motorcycle, computers, art, music.. and I find more to love all the time. Storms with strong claps of thunder send pleasant shivers up and down my spine and I look forward to that every summer. Laying under the stars is also a summer time "must do" and a yearly tradition for me is the August meteor shower. I used to look for adventure, but it seems adventure finds me.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Trying to make money and having fun all at the same time (when possible).

GreyFox Bluegrass Festival, if you know what that is or have already been there, we're already friends.

Summer of 2012 I worked on an independent film as a PA and AC. Nothing too major, but I often had to apply my engineering skillset to issues that came up. Hopefully the connections I make and the experience I gain will help me pursue a special effects career. I'm hoping for some new movie opportunities to come my way soon too.

This summer I spent a lot of time at music festivals and traveling while working as much as I could in between to finance it all.

The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm very friendly and get along with most people. I'm not really sure what people notice but I do laugh a lot with good company.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

It's been a while since I read any books that don't have more equations than words, but the ones I remember enjoying are Holes, Death Watch, and Mause.

I like almost all movies from all genres. October Sky, No Country for Old Men, Pirates of the Caribbean, Pursuit of Happyness, The Matirx, Step Brothers, Toy Story, Man on Fire, anything with Robbin Williams, Forrest Gump, Pay it Forward, Inglorious Bastards, Kick Ass, and Prisoners are all some movies that come to mind...seriously if I kept going though, I would list every movie that I've seen except for Torque, that movie was awful.

For TV shows, I watch a lot of the History Channel and Discovery Channel, South Park, Futurama, The Walking Dead, Arrested Development, Cops, Mythbusters, Storm Chasers, America's got Talent is fun...and whatever catches my attention I guess, but I honestly don't watch much TV anymore.

I listen to a broad range of music, from Classic Rock to Jazz to Bluegrass to Reggae to Trance. I'm more drawn to music that isn't overplayed on the radio.. Rushad Eggleston! Led Zepplin, Jimi Hendix, Electric Light Orchestra, Toots and the Maytals, Cat Stevens, Chris Thile, Nickle Creek, Newgrass Revival, Pink Floyed, Zero7, Dave Grisman, Herbie Mann, Cannonball Adderley, The Beatles, Django Django...

I used to be a picky eater. I've worked my way out of that status, but I still have some ground to cover. My favorite dish is Chicken broccoli Alfredo. I like Italian, Indian, and Mexican food. Not all of it, but I'm getting there. I love cheese, but not American cheese so much. Lately I've been experimenting with spices, I have no idea what I'm doing, but so far everything has tasted good.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Six things I could never do without no matter what? No matter what situation? Well to be Happy, I would need:
Family/Friends
A Positive Light
Music
Transportation
Nature
The Sky
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I think a lot about how the seemingly little choices we make greatly effect the events of the future. That's fun to think about at least.

I think about the things I would like to do and the places I would like to go.

I find myself thinking about space and the space program a lot. There's so much out there and it's frustrating to me that we are unable to get closer. I sometimes wish I could freeze myself in time in order to learn of the discoveries which will inevitably take place after my existence.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I could be doing anything. There is no pattern to my Friday's. If I'm not working, there's a good chance I'm either laying low or taking a ride on the bike. Sometimes I'll be packing to get away for the weekend.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Well I'm on this site...

I have no sense of smell, never have, and probably never will. My taste is fine, but it's on the low side of the average.
