My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I just moved back to Brooklyn because I'm a writer and enjoy being a tired cliche in real life. I also kind of love the city. No place like home and all that.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm shopping my first novel around right now. Just moved back to Brooklyn and pretty much all my time so far has been spent either writing or doing paid editorial work on someone's PhD dissertation. I'm beginning to forget what sunlight looks like.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I write. I edit. And I am very good at both. I've been doing a lot of work lately on a new form of ethics by reexamining man's epistemic relation to the self. I used to box and wrestle. Sometimes I sculpt. I'm also really good at taking a fall.

Oh, and I'm a good listener. I 'spose a lot of people would say that, but it's true. I love hearing people's stories and their problems.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I wear rose colored glasses. Literally, I bought pink tinted prescription glasses just so I could make that joke. Big red koi tattoo on my forearm.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I have a lot of favorite books. Topping the list right now would probably be The Castle by Franz Kafka, Wind Up Bird Chronicles by Haruki Murakami, The Coming Insurrection The Invisible Committee (though I have serious issues with insurrectionary anarchism) and A Visit From the Goon Squad by Jennifer Egan. I also enjoy flipping through Fulcher of Chartes Chronicle of the Expedition to Jerusalem. In a more general way I enjoy Neil Gaiman, Terry Pratchett, Kurt Vonnegut, Virginia Woolf, Albert Camus, Yasunari Kawabata, Richard Rorty, George RR Martin, Friedrich Nietzsche, Mikhail Bakunin , Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, Leo Tolstoy, Victor Hugo, Rene Descartes, Jean-Paul Sartre, Naguib Mahfouz and Nick Harkaway.

My favourite band right now is probably Godspeed You! Black Emperor. Also Purity Ring,Grimes, Eddi Front, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, the Sex Pistols, the Clash, Bleach, Nirvana, The Rapture, The White Stripes, Mountain Goats, the Flaming Lips, the Polyphonic Spree, Electric Six, the Gay Blades, the Constellations, fun., Tsunami Bomb, Metric, Dead Kennedys, pretty much whatever catches my fancy. Been listening to a lot of Ellen Allien and MSI recently.

Been reading a ton of Questionable Content lately. That and Welcome to Nightvale are my current everyday outlets.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Books. People who can carry on a conversation. Whiskey. And then those three things again.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Whatever book I'm writing. If complex philosophic interpretations of the self's epistemic relation to the self can have any practical application. Whether or not I care at all about practical applications of abstract theory. Where my keys are.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Bar hopping? Seeing a show? At a reading?Working, maybe. I'm on a self set schedule at the moment, so for me Friday is the same as Tuesday. I haven't turned my Netflix back on since I moved and I am beginning to think I'm not going to.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My only friend is the revolution. And Will. Not necessarilly in that order. I have an absurd phobia of rollercoasters. Oh, and when I first got here I had two black eyes, a busted lip and a hole in my tongue. I used to play ship's mast.

I suppose if you're are a leftist, a writer, an artist, an anarchist, feminist, postmodernist or are fun. Or aren't fun. I'm actually beginning to think that all my favorite people could would probably describe themselves as not very fun at all.

Most importantly if you are gritty, scrappy or filled with righteous wrath.
