It was about time this profile got an overhaul, may as well do it now: Hi, I'm Erin. I'm an Aries, but my personality traits tend to coincide a bit better with Virgo characteristics. (I also recently listened to my own voicemail message and was horrified to discover how much of a Maryland accent I have. The friend I shared this discovery with swears she can't hear it, but it's eating me up inside.)

I'd... start talking about how much I enjoy long walks on the beach (and actually I do, provided it's at night, fully clothed and with shoes on. I hold that it's more fun that way), but that'd be a little cliche.

So. Me. I'm a junior at Goucher College in Towson, Maryland, where I'm majoring in English with a concentration in literature. I have a soft spot for Shakespeare and Chaucer, and myths and legends in general. Basically, I'm kind of a geek, which I like to think I make up for with my nigh-superhuman ability to misconstrue almost anything into a sexual innuendo.

I like to read, I like to write (when I'm not in the throes of writer's block), I enjoy the occasional video game provided it has a good plot and/or a cool sword I get to swing at my enemies, and I'm very fond of cooking.

I love dogs (particularly large ones) and horses, and for some reason cats make me nervous.

My pet peeves (read: deal-breakers regardless of how perfect you may otherwise be) are:
-Extremely conservative political views.
-Closed-minded self-righteousness about your religion or lack thereof.
-People who think all feminists are man-hating separatist lesbians who reject all things womanly. We're not.
-People who chew with their mouths open, or otherwise loudly.

I am nerdy, sarcastic, and slightly perverted

I'd still love to live the girlhood dream of being an author, but I'm currently planning to be a high school lit teacher. I don't suppose I'll get paid much, but I'll be able to spend every day talking about something I love, and give back to the community a little at the same time.

Cooking (especially when I have new and unusual recipes to work with, as I did during my roommate's brief stint as a vegan. Those were some of the best cookies I've ever made), twisting life-in-general into a series of dirty jokes, and writing humor.

I've never asked. I'm fairly normal-looking, but I'm told that I have remarkably shiny hair, so maybe that's it.

c)I like most kinds of music. I've listened to songs by Toby Keith, BBMak, Lacuna Coil, Nelly, and Duran Duran in the same 20-minute stretch of time on more than one occasion.

d) Thus, my weakness. I love food. Chocolate ranks as highest, of course, but anything containing cheese, butter, or garlic works fine. I love coffee, and am really quite surprised that my teeth stay white considering the amount of it that I drink.
