My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I do non-monogamy. If that's a deal breaker then know it now! Also I don't date smokers, casual, when drinking, or at all. Also good to know up front!

I tend to have an investment in social justice issues like police brutality before it was cool, think that anyone regardless of race can be racist, that not all beers need to be an over hopped IPA to be good, and that non-monogamy doesn't require me to go to sex parties and things like that. Sorry if I just alienated all of Portland but if there are any of you left after that I am totally interested and I am not all that shallow about the rest.

I have many interests, some that come to mind are: building cars, racing, mixed martial arts, camping, shooting, Zen Buddhism, cooking, etc...

I have a sense of humor that can be very dry, or very ridiculous depending on the day. Some people love it and some people look at me like a dog with their head cocked. Meh!

I like to be an outdoorsy type; I moved here from Colorado and Maine originally.

I tend to stay physically active and athletic though I am no longer competitive after a lot of joint injuries.

I am NOT the pretentious type and I tend to abhor those who are. I am also intelligent enough to spot them thankfully. Be real and if you have an opinion say WHY you have that opinion.

I like to start every sentence in my self-summary with "I".
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am big into working on cars. It started as a hobby but it's something I am working on more as a career. I like fast cars, I am good at design, modification, etc... and it's that 'passion' of mine that will probably leave me with an aching back and an empty wallet later on in life... or right now in life. Or I can fall back on corporate life and make lots of money again. Yet why is that not appealing?
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I am a jack of all trades. It comes with the problem solving and self-sufficient lifestyle. My most practical skill is fixing anything and everything, especially cars and computers.

Eyes and smile are certainly the most common. You know, like pretty much everyone else.

I'm not as big of a fan of this sort of 'interest' list but I will play along.

Reading: Dalai Lama, Norse myths, Hitchhikers Guide, Tucker Max, Harry Potter, a lot of classics, greek epics, and philosophy as well but I read mostly for fun these days.

Movies: Bad Santa, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Donnie Darko, The Pick of Destiny, Kill Bill, Pulp Fiction, I am Legend, Idiocracy, Nausicaa, Moulin Rouge, Blues Brothers, etc...

TV: UFC, battlestar galactica, adult swim, top gear, archer, walking dead, dexter, trailer park boys.

Food: I have a weakness for good sushi but I love to cook and eat foods of all tastes.

Music: Electronic, hip hop, rap, nerdcore, irish folk to old school hardcore, etc... Except country. If it's good it's good and genre doesn't necessarily matter as long as my mood matches the music in question. I am a mood listener with both eclectic and mainstream tastes.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Health (this has been a big eye opener recently)
2. Tools, seriously how do people live without them?
3. A few good people to enjoy life with
4. Meaningful work (a struggle at times)
5. Eating, drinking, and being merry.
The rest will work itself out.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How to incorporate Buddhist teachings into my life to improve the quality of life for others and in return, myself.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Very much open to suggestions. I have a wide array of interests and don't mind trying new things either. I have a sense of adventure.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

It can be a struggle for me to stay positive when surrounded by negativity. I find myself easily torn down or motivated depending on the people around me. I am working on having a little more immunity to this, and also just surrounding myself with more positivity. I think it comes from being highly empathetic in general.
