My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
First of all....Take off the sunglasses and let your eyes be seen...they are windows to the soul and will say a lot about you. If all (or most) of your pictures have you hiding behind those shades, it makes me wonder why. If there's no picture at all, well then I really won't believe you seriously want me to reply to any messages.

Just lately I am really learning more things about myself. I guess this could be partly due to meeting new people, and sharing stories and feelings that have brought me to where I am in life.

As I grow....age.... mature........, I've been really delving in to what captures and holds my attention...
...I'm ready to have some fun again... I'm fun, sensible, responsible, warm-hearted, and have a humorous side also.
My humor will still catches people off guard now and then, but I think laughter and playfulness are a great way to express yourself...and to lighten the heaviness of life's stresses.

Who I'm looking for;

I want a man who has learned from everything he has experienced, and can open up to receive love again. We've all been through things, but if there's forgiveness, then we can be vulnerable again and appreciate the good things/people that come our way now.
I'm not one that needs constant calls or texting to feel connected. I value my time to do things I like, and my every moment need not overlap into yours...
I want a partner, who will be someone who has great ideas and opinions. Someone who is my safety in a storm, my cheerleader when I need encouragement, has warm feet when mine are cold, and sometimes leaves a note by the coffee pot just because.... I'll be all these things for you too!

It's time to do something again, besides home-improvement projects, or work!

For awhile I was hiking frequently with a friend, and then he moved away. It's just not the same taking off into the cool air and trails .....alone...:(

A good comedy club is also a great way to refresh and get those endorphins flowing. I love to laugh.

I've recently re-entered the world of retail...more on the HR side...which I love! Days and hours vary week to week. That's the only downside :(
This just means I need to request special time off for fun plans or outings. Not a problem with enough notice.
I know time and distance can be a huge factor when trying to get together. But, aren't WE worth it? ;)

Now about kids....

I've spent years on making sure I scattered my three children into the world as healthly, well balanced individuals. Mission accomplished! (well, one came back for a spell) She's a great kid though, and we all know how hard it is out there right?

As for keeping my chores done;

I wash my own car (probably not often enough), clean the garage (it's due), but prefer a helper for yard work (hmmm, maybe I'll just hire a Gardner).

I can also be comfy and casual in jeans for that hike, or be all dressed up for a night out with my special guy.

In a nutshell....

I'm pretty much trying to learn to live again, and let myself start playing more now that my free time is just that .... I've arrived (finally) to a point in time where no daycare is needed, nor does anyone keep track of me. I'm footloose so to speak. I've just been way too responsible to get out and kick up my heels. It's time!

The last concert I attended was a Christian music genre. It was fantastic and energizing. Love live music from 80's, 90's, etc.

I can be a very committed person to whomever I am spending quality time with. I've found though that there are numerous players on here, so...
Please move on to another profile if you just want a pretty lady on your arm, cuz this one wants to be in your heart well as wrapped in your arms, for that long hug goodnight.

If you are a true gentleman and are following traditional ways to create romance, you only want ONE special woman in your life. You don't play games with peoples hearts. And you are very sincere about the things that are important. Safety and trust with each other is above all the most important!

Until we meet....
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
These things I believe are ever-changing right? Right now I enjoy my work and making improvements on my home...
One simple thing I miss is grocery shopping with someone and fixing a nice dinner together...
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
....listening and truly caring about what's happening in the lives of those around me.

....pampering the one special man that has made me feel like his angel.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm usually smiling along with being very outgoing and friendly. I treat everyone with kindness. I especially have a big heart for children and elderly folks. Both require much attention and neither are usually getting enough of it.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I read a lot on health and nutrition. Have read many books on communication and relationship skills... I like material that will help me see different perspectives, and will help me to continue to grow as a person with confidence as well as compassion....

I'm not a huge movie go'er, but to watch something funny or romantic while snuggling up couldn't be a better evening. I don't ever seem interested in watching tv too much except to unwind if I'm alone in the evening...

Lastly, my quest has been to perfect the perfect homemade fish taco...with just a small squeeze of lime to complete it...
I know my basics say that I'm mostly vegetarian, but I also eat fish and chicken, just usually not red meat. But, I do know how to BBQ a great New York steak for the rest of the gang. I am not opposed to people eating whatever they like, but I would hope that you're not a big fan of fast just doesn't appeal to me, and it's not very healthy either. I'm more of a stay at home and cook type, but I also enjoy dining out on occasion too.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
God watching over my life...
Of course having the interaction of my children and grandchildren.
Hmmm, I'll have to put some thought into this. I guess I've really simplified to a point where life's true necessities are very few.
Oh, definitely my toothbrush!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Lately my thoughts wander to escaping to someplace to pitch a tent! Yes, it's been years since I have gone camping... and the back roads and trees are calling my name ;)
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Usually cook something good, light some candles, put some music on to cook to. Love to light the grill and invite some family or friends. Quiet Fridays alone...pretty much the same but includes a pedicure! :)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My private thoughts will be for your ears only :)

You are a traditional man with a kind heart and are looking for a gentle spirit in a woman....
Our first date would be a very casual event, finding somewhere to enjoy some time alone catching up on one anothers lives.
I will, of course, bring a handout with all the required documents which would include my passport, DMV printout, credit report, high school year book photo, blood test results to include cholesterol levels, a printout of my last 10 Google searches. and last but not least a photo of the inside of my refrigerator.
There should be something in there for at least a conversation starter.
Some people see the glass as half full, others the glass as half empty. I see it as just needing a refill once-in-a-while. Let's just find things to smile and laugh about.
