My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I work from home so don't meet many people through work circles. I live in Keego Harbor and love to kayak on the nearby lakes and rivers. Enjoy my hobbies (music, cooking and creative writing) but would also like to meet someone for friendship and more. I'm active, in shape, adventurous, spontaneous and funny. Also a romantic, but that's a story for another time.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm enjoying my life but would like to share it with someone, whether it's just a great friendship or a beautiful romance.

I'm a consultant; I used to travel full-time throughout the US and UK but the recession curbed that somewhat and I work mostly from home now. I miss the fast life, but it can be lonely at times. Now my situation is the opposite; I have freedom to roam and play!

I'm a transplant to Michigan, moving here in 2010. I'd like to find someone who's interested in exploring Michigan (as well as each other) and what this fine city has to offer!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Writing. Humor. Communicating. Music. Cooking. Romance. Making people laugh.

My first career was in music. I have a Masters degree in performance. I've written/published some music; some has been recorded.

My second career (20+ yrs.) was in marketing for architectural /engineering (A/E) firms. I was a Corp. Services Dir. at my last company.

Then I was recruited by the software development company whose programs run 85% of A/E firms in the country. As a "Subject Matter Expert (SME) I help other A/E firms implement their CRM system.

Oh, ugh, I did not mean to write a resume! Will fix later... :-)

Cooking fascinates me and I love culinary experiences of any kind!

I like to write humor and kayak as much as I can during warm weather (just not at the same time).

Over the last several months I've been working on music projects. I got a professional studio keyboard with 2,000 recorded instrument sounds. I write songs (but not lyrics) for fun and to share. It involves playing (on the keyboard) all the instruments and layering 8-10 tracks (guitars, horns, drums, bass, etc). It is very rewarding!
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm witty, affiable, and I put people at ease. Also very creative and pretty positive.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

If you get the show Seinfeld, you get me. I like summer blockbuster movies. Young Frankenstein is still one of my favorite movies.

I watch Family Guy just because it is so WRONG! The Food Network is a favorite. NPR is my go-to for unbiased news. I could watch Myth Busters all day long.

I love just about all kinds of music except for rap, hip-hop and country. Big fan of jazz and any kind of soul, R&B and funk, fussion, etc., especially if the band has horns in it. Tower of Power is one of my favorite bands.

I've played in a lot of rock bands, orchestras, brass quintets, and as a side musician with some name performers in my day, so my musical tastes are pretty well honed.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Springtime and summer....
2. Wit, humor and a beautiful smile...
3. Kayaking...
4. Fresh Caprese Salad made from stuff in the garden...
5. Great humor...
6. Driving around San Francisco and eating at the Chef's Table at One Market...
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What are we doing here? Getting outside. Cooking. And variety of other completely random and useless chatter in my head. I also think about my now-in-dog-heaven yellow lab Bridget, who is the creature I loved more than anything in the world.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Nothing crazy... Watching a movie, paddling a river, working in the yard, grilling something delicious on the BBQ, polishing my Mustang, or enjoying a drink at sunset while watching bats come out.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I don't clean out my freezer as often as I should. So sue me! :-)
