I love animals and I spent a few years working wildlife rescue as a volunteer. I still have a reputation for rescuing animals or birds and nursing them back to health.

My favorite place in the world is the California North Coast. I drive over every chance I get. I could probably spend the rest of my life on Clam Beach and be pretty happy about it!

I don't speak much Spanish or French, but I understand quite a bit. It's weird.

I work as an instructor at a flight school. I also go overseas a few times every year for work. I don't have a pilot's license right now, just a ground instructor license, but I'd love to get one someday!

In my free time, I do a lot of walking and hiking. I love the Anderson and Redding river trails, and the Davis Gulch Trail at Whiskeytown. I also read a lot, so I spend a lot of time at the library too.

I'd like to say my eyes, but I do have a relatively nice figure... so it probably isn't my eyes. ;)

I will read just about anything I can get my hands on. My favorites are the Mary Russell/Sherlock Holmes mysteries by Laurie R. King, Stephen King's short stories, and the Sookie Stackhouse novels.

I like scary movies, suspense, and comedies, and I'm not usually a fan of dramas or anything sad. My favorites are Hot Fuzz, The Burbs, Galaxy Quest, and the James Bond movies (I know this is sacrelige, but I liked Brosnan). I just saw Skyfall and loved it.

As for music, I like Florence and the Machine, Mumford and Sons, and I have a weakness for 80's and 90's pop. I like quite a few of the current hits, too. Yes, Gangnam Style is on my iPod. No, I don't know the dance. I also listen to a lot of opera and orchestral music because I have a music degree and old habits die hard!

I like to watch Grimm, The Amazing Race, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, and Dexter. Sometimes I indulge in the guilty pleasure that is Tosh.0 even though I feel bad for laughing at it.

Chapstick, a toothbrush, music, books, animals... and probably allergy pills because sneezing just sucks.

Before the sun goes down, river trail! Otherwise, I'm generally curled up with a book or a movie.
