My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I love listening to people talk about the things they find interesting.

I try very hard to be non-judgmental, honest, and kind.

I've been lucky enough to have lived in a few very different places, and am both happy and sad that, due to my mobility and theirs, I have people all over the world who matter to me a great deal.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Currently getting my Master's in Social Work at the University of Toronto. Ideally, I'd like to work in anti-violence, but I'm also interested in anti-oppression, anti-poverty. Basically, I'm anti-bad things.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Teaching
Flint Knapping
Girl Talk
Procrastinating
Being a huge nerd
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I talk a lot. And I have a strange laugh.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
--Books--
The Fault in Our Stars (and other thoughtful YA books), Le Petit Prince (and other works of philosophy masquerading as Children's Literature), The occasional Great Book (East of Eden leaps to mind), and lots of comics (Mostly Vertigo, Oni press--things like that)
--Movies--
Fargo, 5 Centimeters per Second, Cloud Atlas, Die Hard, All the Ghibli movies, 4 Weddings and a Funeral, Groundhog Day, Tokyo Godfathers, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time
--Shows--
Gilmore Girls, Game of Thrones, Everwood, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Orange is the New Black
--Music--
Great Big Sea, Les Cowboys Fringants, and pretty much anything folky...I tend to let the people around me pick the music.
--Food--
All the food. Except for meat.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Literally: Other People

Less Literally: The Internet, Kale, books, artificial light, Cheese, Flint.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
ALL OF THE THINGS!

Seriously, though, I spend a lot of time in my head. Favourite thinking topics include culture, language, power and violence, rocks, how to imagine other people complexly, Japanese grammar, cooking, ice hockey and old friends
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Emotionally drained from my work and either watching guilty pleasure shows on netflix or playing video games, depending on what kind of a week it's been. Saturday night is my going out with friends night, Sunday nights I generally have dinner with family.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Something no-one ever believes about me, but I'm a pretty anxious person. It's never stopped me from being outgoing and friendly, but I have a lot of sympathy for people who are shy.
