My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
This seems redundant - given the categories below. I'm polite, kind-hearted, a good listener, socially, politically, environmentally conscious, interested in almost everything, a voracious reader, animal lover - esp dogs - but I'd happily take on an elephant or rhinocerus if i had the chance (haha), spend alot of time helping friends, am reasonably well travelled and would like to do more, would like to play tennis again, love riding my bike, my best friend is a chihuahua, with my sister a close second, etc, ad inf.........
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Living it, day by day, for now. I change the world in the microcosm, sign lots of liberal petitions and all environmental petitions, send $$$ when I can, continue to learn, resurrecting old friendships, and trying, as Jack Nicholson said to Helen Hunt, to be a better man.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Carpentry & Kissing, listening, communicating, writing, Art, apple pie.......... souffle, chicken soup, chocolate mousse, etc, etc....
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
No idea
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
History, Biography (I'm almost fictioned out), Coen Bros, Ridley Scott, Bergman, Fellini, foreign films, occasional theater, all kinds of music - except rap, hip hop, new country. Mostly classical and world beat. Food: omnivorous.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
A hot shower, Manhattans (one a week), fruit, dogs, my sister, Bach, Muddy Waters, Arthur Grumiaux, Cesaria Evora, Mercedes Sosa, Ali Farka Toure' berry pie, Billy Holiday, The Wilson river, Fleetwood Mac, The Columbia Gorge, Great writing & films, The Oregon Coast, Breaking Bad, QFC's strawberry shortcake, Mountains, the fading memory of luscious & lascivious kisses, animals, kindness & generosity, the also fading memory of making love with someone I'm really turned on about, affection & companionship - six - really, just 6?
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
too much to list - politics, environment, the economy - not so much Paris, or Brangelina......
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I can't remember that far back............
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Not much - online.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
If any of this sounds compatible, if you have a smart & witty sense of humor, if you're left-leaning, like small dogs, if you can ride a bike, swing a tennis racquet, dive into cold, clear water on a hot day, ski (moderately) know good writing when you read it, think Antonia's Line is in the "ten best", like touching, are affectionate, are beyond arrogance & narcissism, if you're not juggling 6-8 people at once, can spell - and know the difference between there/they're & their, then & than, your & you're, and can spell Chihuahua.
