My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hello to all my new friends on OKC. Here's an attempt in selling myself as the smart, funny, sarcastic, unique individual that I am. I'm a transplant from the DC/Nova area. I've been living the dream in Austin for a year and a half and feel like I've been reborn. I moved here for the live music, the constant sun, delicious beer, the ability to connect with other people across my wide range of interests, the ability to connect with Mother Nature and not even leave the city, and the fact that everyone loves to stay fit.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Programming Computer stuff - professionally and personally, building things out of wood, looking at the sky, volunteering at a local non-profit, staying super fit, all while questioning the nature of my own existence.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Looking at life from an analytical perspective, math problems, HIIT, yoga, running, fixing things (usually after breaking them), making an Old Fashioned, cooking, self deprecation, self aggrandizement, dry humor, starting a fire without matches, being fascinated by the conventionally mundane. AND I'm really good at giving hugs. My mom always said that hugs are better than drugs.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1) My Bike
2) My Laptop
3) Power Tools
4) A Chef's Knife
5) Live Music - This is the window into my soul.
6) Good Whiskey- This is more a hole in the wall of my soul. Sure it wasn't planned in the original design; but now that it's there, it really adds an aesthetic!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
If everyone's dreams are as strange as mine;
The ethical implications of time travel;
The next restaurant/food truck/bar I want to try out;
Free will versus determinism - more specifically, if free will doesn't exist, will we ever find an algorithm for predicting anything and everything which happens in this world?
What type of tree/bird/cloud/architecture of that building is that? I guess in this day and age, I don't spend too much time thinking about that. I'm then on my phone looking it up.
I also sometimes think I was meant to become a Viking Warrior. If that's the case, the Gods are cruel for having me born 1200 years too late.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Keeping it classy. Whether I'm out on East side socializing, in a tent in the woods, going on a night run, enjoying the solitude of making dinner and reading a book/watching Netflix, or punching babies; that is the one thing which is consistent.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
- You can challenge me intellectually, and are not afraid to be challenged.
- You want to spend an evening playing with me and my new telescope (all my friends got super excited when I told them about it... but they did think I was saying "Nutella Scope." What they thought that was, is still beyond me....)
- You would want to go for a run through the Greenbelt. ALSO, you won't get annoyed if I suddenly want to stop and identify a tree I've never seen before.
- You would like to get on a bike and bar hop around town with me.
- You prefer a gentleman; but with abrupt bursts of immaturity. These could include cheesy jokes, sexual innuendos, and extreme sarcasm.
