My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Software developer, fitness freak, runner, music aficionado, good with wood, stargazer, bookworm, netflixer, bourbon, outdoorsy, mild sports enthusiast, sarcastic, I think that's sufficient.

I'm curious and fascinated by people and their experiences in life, what drives them, what hinders them, what they daydream about and generally what makes them turn out the way they do. But I'm most curious about you!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Oriented around career growth;
taking on hobbies old and new - woodworking, reading, writing, photography, computer science to name a few;
Indulging in all the wonders Austin has to offer;
Maintaining a high standard of physical fitness;
All while pondering our place in this ever expanding cosmic symphony.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

The least important section in my opinion, but also one of the easiest ones to fill out, so why not?

Books: Steinbeck, Hemingway, Franzen, Vonnegut, Arthur C. Clarke, William Gibson, GRRM, and Cormac McCarthy are a few of my favorite novelists. I also gravitate towards scientific writers: Neil deGrasse Tyson, Brian Greene, Richard Dawkins, and Ray Kurzweil are some.

Movies: Bergman, Kurosawa, Leone, Fincher, Linklater, Kubrick, Hitchcock, Coen Brothers. Don't let these choices make you think I'm not excited for the next Die Hard/Taken/Expendables though.

Music: This could go on and on. I've always been big on rock and rap. The inception was growing up in the 90s with the usual grunge acts; Branched out to classic rock, folk rock, even death metal; Then got my toes wet with the indie scene; Rap had the same progression starting with Death Row Records in the 90s, followed by old school motown and funk, and then onwards to more underground acts. You wanna talk music? Believe me - I can talk some music! You wanna go see live music? I can do that too! Play music? Still working on that.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1) Bike
2) Laptop
3) Power Tools
4) Foam Roller
5) Live Music - This is the window into my soul.
6) Good Whiskey- This is more a hole in the wall of my soul. Sure it wasn't planned in the original design. But now that it's there, it really adds an aesthetic.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The effects of technology on the human soul.
Whether or not we have souls.
If extraterrestrial life is observing us, and if we fit their definition of "intelligent life" in the universe;
I also sometimes think I was meant to become a Viking Warrior. If that's the case, the Gods are cruel for having me born 1200 years too late.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Keeping it classy. Whether I'm out on East side socializing, in a tent in the woods, going on a night run, enjoying the solitude of making dinner and reading a book/watching Netflix, or punching babies. That is the one thing which is consistent.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
- You want to play with my shiny new telescope. That's not code for anything. I have a brand new Celestron Nexstar 90 GT telescope... and you know you want to play with it!
- You would want to go for a run through the Greenbelt.
- You would like to get on a bike and bar/museum/park hop around town with me.
- You prefer a gentleman, but with abrupt bursts of immaturity.
