My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Well...I realy hate doing these self summary things but I'll try.

I'm Helen, and I'm here to meet interesting people, and just have a laugh really :)
I am quite a shy person, but recently I've been making an effort to be more open and have more confidence, which I believe has made a difference. I am quite emotional and tend to let this cloud my better judgement at times, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I've been hurt a lot in the past romantically, and due to this I think I have a hard time trusting people.

I love playing video games, and I'm not ashamed to admit I'm a bit of a nerd :P.

I may update this section later, but I really can't be bothered at the moment :P

I am artistic, inquisitive, and friendly
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm going to go to the University of York in October to study biotechnology and microbiology, with a years work placement in Europe. Most people think I'm mad doing this but I really love science, but not in the room covered with formulae and lab kits way :P
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I love to draw, it helps me to de-stress and express myself.
I also like cooking, and try lots of different cuisines
My friends tell me that I'm really good at seeing the bright side of every situation and being a good listener, lots of people seem to come to me with their problems, and I do like helping them :)
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Is probably the fact that I'm very short. This used to bother me but I've grown to accept it as it's what makes me unique :). I'm usually very shy around new people but once I get to know them a bit I revert back to my strange self.
If you meet me after I've had a couple of drinks, you'll see I'm very talkative and happy
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
My favourite movie changes all the time, depending on what mood I'm in. I have no specific genre that I prefer, as long as it has a good script I'll watch anything, although I do hate chick flicks, and I'm not a big fan of dick flicks either :P
Favourite Movies: LOTR, gladiator, spirited away, candyman, watchmen, batman(the 60s version I actually like better than the modern ones), the green mile, a clockwork orange, In Bruges, the lion king, the orphanage and the fountain(If you haven't seen this film, do because its beautiful)

TV: Game of thrones, True Blood, Dr Who, Torchwood, The Simpsons, Futurama, Scrubs, How I met your mother, Black books, Father Ted, IT crowd, Big Bang Theory

Books: Dune, Shogun, his dark materials trilogy, imajica, clive barker's books of blood, the hitch-hikers guide to the galaxy, the kite runner, a thousand splendid suns, millennium trilogy,
and if graphic novels count: Watchmen, V for vendetta, the league of extraordinary gentlemen (Alan Moore XD) Sandman by Neil Gaiman
I also read a bit of manga: Death note, Elfen leid, vampire knight, ouran host high school club, hellsing, kuroshitsuji

I like all sorts of music really. I quite like muse, because their songs are all different, and the music and lyrics are thought provoking, especially the exogenesis symphonies. Despite this, I'd say my favourite band is the birthday massacre as I can listen to them whatever mood I'm in and I can relate to many of the songs :)
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My friends
My laptop (with internet)
Some form of music listening device
Video games
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Hmm, well thats a deep question.
I suppose I do spend a lot of time daydreaming about random things. If you watch scrubs I can best describe them as 'JD moments'.
I think about a lot of philosophical stuff too, although I don't spend time thinking about the meaning of life as I don't think there is one.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Either at a friends house, out in town having a few drinks or at home with a glass of wine watching a movie with my family
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
depends, I'd have to talk to you first, as I'm not blaring stuff on my profile :P
