Oh you know, the usual...
I’m really good at
-Helping the underdog (or cat)
-Erring on the side of kindness
-Creating beautiful objects (portraits, block prints, silk painting, knitting, spinning yarn from rabbit fur...yada yada yada)
-Baking cookies that generate a fan base and constant pleas for repeat performances
-kicking fibromyalgia's ass
-Spoiling those I care about
-Spotting complex patterns in people and systems (it's a lesser known 'aspie' super-power)
The first things people usually notice about me
That I'm a sapiosexual pluviophilic bibliophile?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Music:
My taste in music ranges from "you need to listen to this" to "I know, please don't judge me". (I've just been smitten with "The Bane Rendition" by The Raconteurs.. which probably proves one of my points above-you decide)

Books:
"Chewy sci/fi, complex fantasy, history, science, anthropology.....and on. (right now: revisiting my old friend "A Canticle for Liebowitz" by Miller)

I am an information sponge.

Movies:
Action Adventure, great animation, quirky drama
(Last watched: Pacific Rim (again)

TV:
Deadwood
Sons of Anarchy
Firefly
Walking Dead
the first four seasons of Babylon Five
(I have just fallen in love with "House of Cards" on Netflix. The acting is luxurious)

Food:
Protein (preferably red meat or salmon), Caffiene (black tea if possible), good chocolate (no wax fillers, please), iron rich veggies, and an occasional rum and coke or whiskey sour.
The six things I could never do without
-My daughter
-Wisdom (usually from philosophers, sometime song writers, and often my daughter)
-Passion (in all its myriad forms)
-Sensuality (also in all it's forms)
-Love
-Caffeine (usually black tea, sometimes a mocha frapp light)
-----------------------------------------------
Six things I CAN do without:
-Slower traffic that does not stay to the right (this includes pedestrians)
-decaffienated anything (what is the point?)
-Capers
-TV (We had a nasty break up in the 90's)
-The Dentist (note: because the dentist is my nemisis, I brush AND floss regularly)
-Zombies (especially zombie dentists).
I spend a lot of time thinking about
If you have chemistry,
you only need one other thing.
Timing.

But timings a bitch.
On a typical Friday night I am
Decompressing, flagrantly galavanting.... with a dash of adventure perhaps?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
“Some lose all mind and become soul, insane.
some lose all soul and become mind, intellectual.
some lose both and become accepted”
― Charles Bukowski

Bukowski is short listed for the question, "who would you love to have lunch with."

(whispers, I might even have a hot crush on his intellect.)
I’m looking for
  • Everybody
  • Ages 45–65
  • Near me
  • For new friends, long-term dating
You should message me if
You think we'd enjoy connecting over coffee/tea and want to have some local adventures together. (Bibliophile a plus)
