My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am relatively new to Los Angeles. I was working down in San Diego, but moved because San Diego sucks (amirite?). I studied marine biology at UC Santa Cruz, where I was a dolphin trainer (This is what I imagine I would lead with if a woman ever talked to me). After College I was working with kids, teaching marine science (This is the follow-up). So I like media a lot. I decided to try some different things, which is why I moved to LA to do comedy writing. My goal is to be a television writer.

I love going to see bands and comedy shows. I like drinking whiskey gingers and gin and tonics. I hate people, but you're pretty cool.

I'm can be a big spoon, but prefer to be a little spoon.

NOTE: None of these lists are very comprehensive at all. I like a lot of stuff, so it is better to just ask I suppose.

BOOKS: I like Kurt Vonnegut and David Sedaris. I was recently reading Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and A Confederacy of Dunces. I am currently going through a list of classic 20th century novels. Just finished The Bell Jar and Cannery Row and am currently reading Mrs. Dalloway with a couple of Vonnegut books next in line. Of Mice and Men was the first book I remember really loving... besides The Phantom Tollbooth duh.

MOVIES: I watch a lot of movies. I watch movies from all genres, but I would say I have an affinity for documentaries, absurdist comedies, and of course rom-coms. I have a weird obsession with I Am Sam. It is just so sad. Wet Hot American Summer is definitely one of my favorite comedies. But ya... Coen Brothers. Pixar. There Will Be Blood. Billy Madison obviously. Say Anything. The Room. I like John Cusack. I dislike Joan Cusack.

TV: Hey Arnold. Arrested Development. Twilight Zone. Boy Meets World. The Adventures of Pete and Pete. Trailer Park Boys. Twin Peaks. Tim and Eric. Children's Hospital. Snuff Box. IT Crowd. Garth Marenghi's Darkplace. Parks and Rec. Rick and Morty. Community. Kroll Show. Adventure Time. Shark Tank. That last one is not a joke. Oh god, so many more.

MUSIC: I work in a record stores so I am always exploring new music, but... Simon & Garfunkel, Cat Stevens, The Beatles, The Kinks, The Velvet Underground, Nico, Phil Ochs, The Shirelles, Billie Holiday, Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, Sam Cooke, Otis Redding, George Harrison, Fleetwood Mac, Etta James, ELO, Al Greene, Marvin Gaye, Nancy Sinatra, the Cure, Talulah Gosh, Heavenly, The Softies, Strawberry Switchblade, Beat Happening, Talking Heads, Blondie, Kate Bush, The Smiths, New Order, Violent Femmes, The Bee Gees, Hall and Oates, The Breeders, Randy Newman , David Bowie, THE MAGNETIC FIELDS, Daniel Johnston, Neutral Milk Hotel, Jeffrey Lewis, Pavement, The "Charles in Charge" theme song, The Cranberries, Mazzy Star, Alanis Morrisette, Beach House, Belle & Sebastian, Au Revoir Simone, Okay, CocoRosie, The National, Arcade Fire, Girls, St. Vincent, Of Montreal, Dum Dum Girls, Coma Cinema, Blood Orange, Waxahatchee. This list may make it seem that I have somewhat eclectic tastes, but really i just listen to indie pop for sensitive boys like me.

FOOD: Chicken Tenders are my favorite, because of delicious.
