My Self-Summary
Ok, so I'm a mix of this and that, like most folks. Half of the
family tree is from Holland, the other half from Colombia. I grew
up in several states: Alaska, Virginia, Florida, and Minnesota.
Family and friends are always at the top of the list. Traveling,
photography, books, music, and movies are constant interests. I
wish I could live in Minneapolis and Ireland simultaneously. Big
fan of dogs. Cheesy horror movies are super-ridiculously fun.
Running is something I do because A. it clears the head and B. it's
a nice challenge.
What I’m doing with my life
My days are comprised in various degrees about like this:
Working in editing, which means mucho grammar, fact-checking like a monster, readingreadingreading, learning the most random things in the process. I'm a dork for these sorts of things, so I like it.
Watching more and more movies since I'm hooked on the cinema stuff. Going to the theater never gets old.
Running around the park somewhere, down the street, on a trail.
Reading books. I want my copy of Tobias Wolff's short stories back. Darn.
Hanging out with friends. This means listening to lots of music, going to shows, to the movies, out to the bars (dives are mas mejor), lots of laughing, goofiness abounds, random acts of weirdness.
Some quiet time is always good. Hopefully adding to my novice picture-taking (I blame this on having seen William Eggleston's photography).

Listening. Devouring a chipotle burrito. I'm a hard worker, and I
take that pretty seriously. Being honest is a biggie. Finding
something funny in most things. Being a good friend. I also like to
make other people laugh, which makes me laugh, and so then this
whole cycle starts up, and it's a pretty good time.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

It's all over the map: random places I want to visit, what to do on Friday night, where I'll be in X number of years, what dogs must think about (really, sometimes they look like they're in the middle of some serious deliberation), good places to get something to eat, what movies are coming out, how I can be a better person, what my family is up to (they're all over the country/world)

On a typical Friday night I am
Readying to battle mythic snow beasts. I dunno, I'm here and there.
Sometimes it's low-key and other nights I'm out with friends doing
a variety of possibles. But variety is important, also being
interested, curious, and having some fun in the process. (I like
writing in sentence fragments, always have.)

a good conversation. Mmmm...I think having interests is important,
whatever they may be. It's good to have some pursuits. You can
