No, but really. I'm 23. Blonde. From the east coast, and still trying to adjust to California (It's dry. And brown. And flat.). I love humor of most kinds, especially corny science jokes, geek humor, and awkwardly-hilarious-yet-mildly-disturbing youtube videos. I can spend a whole day watching football and getting really into it, even though I know nothing about how the game is played. I cook and bake, a lot, and I house clean to supplement my non-existent income. I like to read, though I never have time to do it for fun, and I write letters to all the people that matter. I love to travel, think of Scotland as a second home, and hope to buy a little summer place there some day.

I'm in the middle of procrastinating my way through a PhD in ethnomusicology (fancy word for "world music studies" - I work in Haiti), teaching a buttload, and trying to force myself into a healthier lifestyle. I adore teaching, I really want to be a professor at a teaching-focused school. The amount of netflix I watch is definitely not helping me get there :/

People say I have freakishly straight posture, and I get a lot of comments about my hair. I am also told I should do voice-overs, mostly because of my laugh and my Butters impression (I do a pretty mean Swedish Chef, too).

Books? Sprawling fantasy stuff, a la LOTR, HP, etc. I also really like Neil Gaiman, Kazuo Ishiguro, Arthur Golden, and modern poets like Stephen Dunn, Whitman, Frost, Ellen Bass, Emma Bartholomew, etc.

Movies? A huge variety. Name a genre and I'll probably have a favorite. But I really like Sunshine, Pan's Labyrinth, Drive, Serenity, The Usual Suspects... stuff with a bit of a dark tone to it.

TV? 30 Rock (obviously), How I Met Your Mother, Bones, American Horror Story, Firefly, Buffy, White Collar. Also some older series, like the original Star Trek, Twilight Zone, etc.

Music? I listen to music for a living. I love EVERYTHING.

Food? I'll try anything once.... unless it has nuts (I'm allergic), raw fish (no lox on my bagels, please), or runny eggs. I do love to cook and bake, and am always looking for guinea pigs!
