Vegetarian since I was 18, an atheist from 13 (with lingering Catholic guilt from period prior). Professionally, I'm in the deep end of the web development business. My favourite drink is a very dry martini, and I am naturally polyamorous.

I'm working full time in a very cushy job and contracting on the side but generally living beyond my means.

There's a lot of reading going on and as many baths as I can manage. Keeping fit, watching the movies (although boy it's been a terrible last few years).

After 31 years on nothing but a bicycle, I got a license and purchased a Honda CB250F Hornet in June 2012. :D (It's a motorcycle.)

I'm learning a lot of different things; when I get good at things I try to maintain those skills as long as they're relevant and find other things to level up in. Attention span isn't long enough to become REALLY good at anything. I'd like to be great at go, but that's a very long path.

The unusual combination of fine, long straight hair and a beard? Although it's just a chinstrap and both those things have come back into fashion so that's not quite as distinguishing as when I first wrote this profile and had to come up with something.

Greg Egan. Oh god how I love Greg Egan and all his works. Mostly I wish I could find more authors who write more like Greg Egan. Otherwise, recently, Richard Morgan, Alastair Reynolds, etc. Hard SF mostly.

I can't name any movies I love that a million other people on this site haven't; so long as there's actual character development, slow pacing and intricate plots I'm probably good (i.e. gtfo most of Hollywood). Unless I feel like munching popcorn, then gimme crap! :D
