My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I graduated with a Masters of Architecture with concentrations in Sustainability and Urban Planning from Kansas State University in 2011, and God sent me to DC. I love the outdoors, backpacking, camping, hiking, canoeing, tennis, soccer...almost everything. Jesus is lord of my life. I studied abroad in Europe in 2010 and I loved it! God may send me anywhere (including Europe and around the world) so you should be open to traveling.

God is now sending me to Aspen, Colorado!

I feel called to serve through my passion, architecture, in a way which addresses the dire issues our society faces today. My thesis project emphasized sustainable design, as a response to our calling to be good stewards of His creation, and a sense of community, in an attempt to reconnect us in a loving and supportive environment.

“...Woe to you shepherds of Isreal who only take care of yourselves! Should not shepherds take care of the flock? You eat curds, clothe yourselves with the wool and slaughter the choice animals, but you do not take care of the flock. You have not strengthened the weak or healed the sick or bound up the injured. You have not brought back the strays or searched for the lost. You have ruled them harshly and brutally,” (Ezekial 34:2-4).

I'm not big into this whole "online dating thing", but, as I'm sure you suspected, I have an architectural justification for its validity in our society...but I'll save that conversation for those who might actually be interested in it, haha. Anyway, I still feel like it's a little weird, so I may not respond to every message right away, but please feel free to message me anyway! I really am a very friendly person, I'm just warming up to the whole internet dating stuff.

I live my life for my Father; as is such, I'm the type to care for others over my own needs. Many women say they want a nice, loving man, but then they're attracted to the jerks who treat them poorly. If you really want someone who will always look out for your best interest, send me a message. I'm not going to play games or rush into anything, and I would appreciate the same. Likewise, I try to be a good steward of my resources, using them sparingly (money, gas, energy) or excessively (time) for the sake of others in God's glory.

Ideally, I'm looking for a short, cute, athletic, sweet, honest, Christian girl. She should enjoy traveling and going to the park, but also enjoy some relaxation at home. Most importantly, she should have a passionate heart, sensitive to God and obedient to Him.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm a youth group leader at my church, I attend a bi-weekly Life Group, I help tear down equipment after service, and I participate in our fellowship of athletes (we play ultimate Sunday evenings)! Oh yeah, I'm also an architect, but there are more important things...

Lately I've been focusing on trying to understand different cultural perspectives, which was sparked by my time abroad.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Making friends
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My height...and apparently I look like Elijah Wood...

I listen mostly to Christian Rock, my favorites being Red, Kutless, Jeremy Camp, Falling Up, MercyMe, Casting Crowns, Switchfoot, and many more. While in studio I like to listen to Air1 online. Check them out at!

Mostly everything except sea food.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
God's taught me (a couple times) the importance of not getting attached to physical things, as they're not really mine anyway, like when my car was stolen, my Jeep was vandalized, and my electronics broken. Though I still struggle with clinging to my possessions, all I truly need is Him (I hope this doesn't seem like a cop out, haha!).
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Architecture and space
God and my relationship with Christ
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Sadly, in studio working. We architects don't get let out very much...

But now that I've graduated... Friday nights are generally my recharge/free night to do whatever.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I sing at the top of my lungs while driving...even with the windows down...heh. Oh! and I drum on everything.
