I never thought that I would hear a woman say, you really shared too much, but it is true. I guess Detective Joe Friday (Boy is that dating me) was right, ... Just the facts ma'am, we want just the facts. So sometime within the coming week or so, I'll try using a string of one liners and see what comes back.
While I am often professionally said to be many things to many people, however this weekend I chose to remember the passing of a very best friend. Of course we both had greatly enjoyed a long history together and if I had the time, I could share many-many stories of his personal kindnesses to me, our often shared love of adventure and yes, we were virtually inseparable for almost 13-yrs.
To say the least he was a really big guy; not too unlike myself, and oh did he loved the ladies too; and they loved him back too… OK …again… that was not too unlike myself as well. As a general rule he never really said very much, but when he did offer his opinion it was both heard loudly and everyone listened with both an urgent and right now fashion! Sure as time passed he became a loveable old dog; everyone knew that he was their good friend too, and just to add, believe it or not, he actually was called out; by name, within all of my various different corporate property leases too …“as”… a valued member of our management team. No … I am not talking about some old cold, lifeless or dumpy old warehouse space, but instead as part of some of the best SW-Burb class A office spaces.
Anyway this weekend was “the” weekend for me to do what I have been putting off for far too long. So after breakfast I gathered up his 42 different; hand written cards of remembrance(s) that came in from all over the world. Yes several month had passed as he had actually passed away over the recent holidays… and so off to the beach I went. Yup… he and I had talked about this much early on, as we both had decided that we wanted to have our ashes spread along the beach where we would often play Frisbee together, sometimes sit around a campfire with old friends or then all too often Buck was happy to just chew on some old stinky piece of driftwood too.
Now that really was not a strange thing for him to do, as my best friend was a 150 lb. Black Lab who would worry about me when I caught the flu, could stop a 300 lb. man dead in his tracks; with just a look, that us if I had not said that it was OK for him to come closer and yet too, the neighborhood kids could pull on his ears, ride him like a horse and all the time he was instinctively watching out for those bad men; you know who I am talking about ~ they would hang out smoking their cigarettes just a little too near the playground equipment… and he would watch too. I remember one time a mom walked over and said, I have been watching your and he has been keeping himself directly between that guy over there and our kids, … move for move! He is a great dog.
In closing … I really would have liked to have had the chance to share Mr. Buck with whomever; if there is to ever be another, sweetheart, playmate and lifetime partner someday. Just the same I really have to wonder just a little if Mr. Buck; my friend and wonder puppy, is not somehow watching over me right now. (see two included pretty nice pictures of him)
Moving ~ on ...
Hi again, ... May I KISS you, as sometimes … "Keeping It Straightforwardly Simple" … works best for me. I wish I could tell you that I am still faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive and yes; sadly just last week my blue suit and flowing red cape got lost at the cleaners too… so I guess, I am only just slightly better than average guy on my very best day. Furthermore I always try my best to have a quick smile, a positive outlook and … (((Good News))) … some have often said that I also sound much taller than I really am too! (((LOL)))
So there you have it. I am just your relatively average, almost every day happy, healthy hard working type guy that likes to have fun when I can and the rest of the time, the easy answer here is that I have never been afraid of hard work as well.
Oh this will be a shocker too ~ I can cook, clean and turn just about any house into a nice warm and inviting home too. (Yes… a big burly alpha male football type line backer conservative guy just said). Furthermore to be sure, I am not looking for a mommy by any stretch of the imagination…i.e. with a big fat handbag either.
Warning ~ Warning ~ Warning… if you are looking for that nice older retired gentleman who sometimes all-too-often slips away into a comfortable slumber, who has taken a likening to knee socks, wearing a porkpie hat and has already resigned himself to (((Living Life at the Politically Correct Speed of Smell))) … FYI: Please stop reading right here if you had to rethink any part of what I just said, ... if not try the followning on for size.
If you would like to share my life; and I yours too, you’re going to have to enjoy riding on the back of my; cruiser style motorcycle (see picture), in my powerful wheel standing sand rail (see picture), on my ATVs or heading up and down our beautiful lakes and rivers with the wind in your hair, a song in your heart … well I think you might be getting the idea … in my ski boat (see picture) too.
Now; here’s me at a slower pace too, I often will hit the brakes at an interesting garage sale, enjoy checking out swap meets, home & garden shows, car/bike/boat rallies/shows too. Google: Hot August Nights and Sturgis Bike Rally, as I am thinking about going to both this year and much more.
Over all I hoping to meet very active/attractive intelligent woman where age really doesn’t matter to me; or you, with a world view too.
The good news here is, I believe that there really is someone for everyone in this world… Q: Are you mine?
FYI: Everything within my profile has been written straight off of the cuff and no animal crackers were knowingly harmed as well.
