My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
There is no good definition for an "average" person, we're all unique in our own ways, but I'm not very good at describing myself. Suffice to say the three following labels do the best job of giving you an idea of who I am: gamer, nerd, otaku. If any of those turns you away, that's fine; if you don't know what some of those mean, feel free to ask... or google.

Anyways, suffice to say I'm just more or less living day to day at this point, so if you're looking for a guy who "has his life together," or is "ambitious," or (my favorite) "knows what he wants and is willing to work for it," then I'm probably not the man for you. However, I am by no means a bum, I have a job, crappy as it is, and I split rent on my apartment, I am ridiculously good at saving, or more accurately not spending money, mostly due to my low income. So if none of the above is a problem, welcome; if you think you absolutely can't stand me, thank you for your time and make sure to have a nice day.

Oh yeah, one of my coworkers told me I should include this in my profile: I leave the toilet seat down.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Living, which is harder than it sounds sometimes. Oh yes and there are always ninjas, I have to beat them back with my Otaku powers or they will gather together the seven color stones of the rainbow and plunge Equestria into darkness by opening the portal to Ry'leh and unleashing the horrible fiends of Cthulu onto the known universe. If that didn't make you at least chuckle, then this probably won't work.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Gaming
Plot Dissection
Philosophizing
Game Mechanics
Saving the known universe from the dark ninja menace
Coming up with story or game world ideas which I never end up using and simply store away to use "eventually"
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
No clue, I'm not other people.

It has come to my attention that the above is probably a little terse and makes me come across as a dick. Just letting you know, that that answer is a result of me over thinking the question while also truly having no basis upon which to gauge what others notice about me first, I simply don't get enough first impressions to actually determine what the first things people notice about me are, and the few brand new people I see on average just don't say anything about me.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Shows-
Any good anime, as it has recently come to my knowledge that there are some truly horrible anime out there, just to list off a few GOOD ones: Cowboy Bebop, Eureka 7, Vandread, Anything Hayao Miyazaki, Oh! My Goddess, Code Geass, Full Metal Panic, Full Metal Alchemist, Slayers, Azumanga Daioh and many more which I can't think of right now.
I pretty much like any show with good progression and a good story to tell.

Books-
I don't really read books much anymore, though in the past I have enjoyed most any fantasy having read most of R.A. Salvatore's Forgotten Realms books ( I like Drizzt but I am not a Drow fan, so don't classify me as such), and a few other fantasy titles, but books have never really been my favorite area of plot discovery.

Webcomics-
This is what I do spend a lot of my time doing: reading webcomics. With the change from physical to digital medium, most webcomics are a FREE source of entertainment and allow for long stories to be told over a period of time. Similar episodically/chapter released stories exist but my love of a solidified visual aid has really drawn me into the world of webcomics.

Movies-
I don't watch many movies anymore, with Netflix giving me the ability to sit down for three days and watch an entire television show back to back like it's just one really long movie. However I do like anything with a good plot and of course, anything Hayao Miyazaki, or that makes my inner fanboy squee.

Music-
Let's not even get started, it's almost easier to say what I don't like: Screamo, Country, Religious Songs, Bad Techno.

Food-
Pizza and Egg Rolls, if there was an Egg Roll Pizza... mmm.

Games-
So for some reason games aren't considered a popular medium the way books, shows and movies are, but it should be said that I'm a gamer, so here are some games that I play:
Dungeons and Dragons
Big Eyes Small Mouth (The anime and manga role playing game)
Minecraft (though let's face it, even non gamers play Minecraft)
Skyrim
Phantasy Star Online 2... this is a good one, takes a bit of a hassle to play if you don't speak Japanese
Firefall: Addendum, I liked the Firefall BETA, the full release is absolute shit as Red5 ruined all of the greatest and most innovative aspects of the game thinking that it would make the game appeal to a broader audience, for their sake I hope they made the right move, but the changes officially ruined the game for me.
Fallout 3 and New Vegas
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My Friends, Games, Internet, Anime, Egg Rolls, Pizza (in no particular order)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The normal gamer/nerd things: stories, game builds, mechanics for games I'm designing, pretty much anything that can hold my attention for a good long while. I also occasionally philosophize about topics as heavy as morality and the meaning of life, the universe, and everything (42) to those as silly as children's shows.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Either asleep before work or at work, or is Friday Night merely meant to represent the night before my "day off?" If so I'm probably sitting in front of my computer, gaming or reading.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I go all crazy when I see cute cats. Scratch that (heh) I go all crazy when I see anything really cute.
