✩✩✩✩✩ - (8/17/14) Masterfully written. The messages of liberty, redemption and moral courage are delivered in a wonderful, refreshing manner that is generally unheard of in literature today. In a society where all types of media pander to the lowest common denominator, Mr. Saccoccio uses a wide palette of beautifully descriptive vocabulary that allows you to feel as though you are watching the events play out right in front of you. This is a great read, and I anxiously look forward to the next installment.
✩✩✩✩✩ - (8/17/14) This book is just great. The world, the characters... the plot. All it does is to make you admire the imagination of the author and how well written. Its a piece of glorious Art!
✩✩✩✩✩ - (8/17/14) Although, it's a fantasy book, it felt so real to me as I found myself relating to the emotional roller-coaster that some of his characters underwent! There is no better read than one that you have actually lived through, at least partially! It makes you feel that you're not alone, that someone else was there too, and there is great comfort in that! Dylan's emotional maturity has brought tears to my eyes and made my heart skip a beat while reading some of his passages! His vivid imagination and rich command of the language have turned the reading experience into a 3D surround-system movie theater. This page-turner is guaranteed to take you on an audio-visual joy ride to undiscovered territories! Unlike other fantasy books, the book is considerably shorter, yet it is nothing short of EPIC! Looking forward for more...
✩✩✩✩✩ - (8/16/14) Fantastic new series! I shall be reading this book again soon as I loved it. Not going to give a single thing away here. Has the bar been risen for future fantasy epics? I think it has!
✩✩✩✩✩ - (8/14/14) Dylan has crafted a story that leads you into a dark world. The Tale of Onora: The Boy and the Peddler; is beautifully sculpted and will call you back for more. I'm hooked. This is a precious gem in the vast amount of books out there, this story is one to treasure.
✩✩✩✩✩ - (8/13/14) What can I say without spoiling the book? One word comes to mind... EPIC! A great fantasy tale that keeps you wanting more! The story kept me glued to the book, I would have finished it in a day if I did have to go to work. He created a beautiful world with beautiful characters. It's been a long time since a story has kept me this interested & wanting more, more, MORE! I really got into the characters & that is a huge part for me to really enjoy a story as much as I enjoyed this. I highly recommend this book to fans of any sci-fi/fantasy book, game, movie, etc... my only complaint is that it ended :) Thank you Dylan for making such a wonderful book! The next one can't come soon enough.
✩✩✩✩✩ - (8/12/14) I'm usually more of a period drama reader, but there is something about Dylan's way of writing. The way he describes the surroundings, the characters and so on really gets to you, it's like your a part of their world. He just steals your attention and leads you into his universe, it's a gripping story and a fantastic book!
✩✩✩✩✩ - (8/10/14) Do you want to escape your every day life? Want to be a part of a magical world and lose yourself in a language filled with life, colours and emotions? The Tale of Onora gives you that - and more. The words draw you in, pages become places and you stand face to face with things you haven't seen before.
✩✩✩✩✩ - (8/7/14) The detail is spectacular and the themes of life, love and truth are presented in a fabulously thought-provoking, almost enigmatic way, that makes you feel like you have been let into a wonderful secret. Definitely something to read 'when the dark swallows the light.'
✩✩✩✩✩ - (8/7/14) I can't seem to put it down, if I do it's not for long. It's very well written and love the in depth details. Amazing work , I'll be buying more books in the future, of that much I'm sure. :-)
✩✩✩✩✩ - (8/5/14) It’s a light, easy read full of fantasy, engaging plot twists, and likable characters. It’s been described as Harry Potter for adults, and while I can see making that comparison, this is not a Harry Potter rip-off. It’s its own rich, unique world, and I definitely recommend it to all you fantasy fans out there.
✩✩✩✩✩ - (8/4/14) I immensely enjoyed reading this, it is beautifully written, and once I had started reading it I didn't want to put it down. The book is fast paced, and the characters and descriptions of the different places draw you in, and leaving you wanting more. I would definitely recommend ToO, and I cannot wait for book 2.
✩✩✩✩✩ - (8/2/14) I am very pleased with the product. The plot was amazing and it was very well written. I love fantasy books so this was just the best! I cannot wait for the next one!
✩✩✩✩ - (7/15/14) I saw the book shout-out on Twitter and decided to look it up. When I did I was intrigued by the cover and book description. Seeing the almost unanimous 5 star reviews made this an easy purchase. The author clearly has a command of the written word and one of those unending imaginations that makes you jealous. The world described was fascinating. So descriptive that even though it is foreign I had no trouble creating the landscape and scenes in my mind.
✩✩✩✩✩ - (7/13/14) I am in love with this book! Started and finished within a few hours and am greatly looking forward to Book 2. Dylan's writing is so beautiful, exquisite really, and it's a lovely read. I felt a range of emotions whilst reading it, had goosebumps, my heart was racing, and I even got a bit teary eyed at one point. Dylan is incredibly talented and I can't wait to see what he has in store for us in the next few books!
✩✩✩✩✩ - (7/12/14) This deserves so much more than 5 stars! Fellow Harry potter fans and games of thrones fans sink your teeth into this! Have not finished it yet but completely hooked......Dylan Saccoccio is solely responsible for my not having any sleep tonight!
✩✩✩✩✩ - (6/25/14) I was hooked from the first line. The story left me dreaming of a world where magic isn't divided so neatly into good and evil.
✩✩✩✩✩ - (6/11/14) Dylan Saccoccio had me the moment the dark cloaked figure at the walls began insolently causing destruction of epic proportions that only studio created natural disaster movies offer viewers today. I was able to feel the eloquently woven roots and branches of the emotions that created this figure so bent on ultimate revenge. Turning to other characters, their histories, in brief and the emotions and magicks that were part of their daily lives, and losses, sparked my imagination and hunger for completing the read. I am sold. Dylan's literary world, characters, their histories, the roots of their stories and their motivations have me aching for more! Well done!
✩✩✩✩✩ - (6/2/14) "I am an avid Harry Potter fan and I feel that this book is next to follow in those footsteps. It won't be long in my opinion before this author is at the top of the world and this book and the rest will be everywhere."
✩✩✩✩✩ - "That the author is part philosopher king, part great storyteller is a realization that comes to the surface time and again. Some favorite quotes stitched seamlessly into believable character conversation: 'To become so absolutely free that your very existence is an act of rebellion;' 'The ruling class frightens its population with staged bloodshed, and then corals them towards tranquility by offering a solution that tricks them into exchanging freedom for security.' Wow, I don’t think even George Orwell could have topped that." - Author Dean C. Moore
✩✩✩✩✩ - "I do not give a book five stars lightly, but this one swept me away to another world. The descriptions are so beautifully crafted that you actually can see the different worlds and hear the battles. I wanted more and was disappointed that it ended so abruptly. I cannot wait to see how this series develops. I'm not one for fantasy books, but I will definitely be reading the subsequent works of this author."
✩✩✩✩ - "The philosophy portrayed through the tale is also highly recommended and well-presented; namely, that freedom works, and government does not. Overall an entertaining read."
✩✩✩✩✩ - "The book has a magical and mystical aura and each word that is used to describe the boy's journey makes you yearn for more! I highly recommend this book for all! Looking forward to more books from this author!"
✩✩✩✩✩ - "The Tale of Onora is very short and yet it contains a lot of interesting events to follow. The concept around the book is very well organized and the entire process of ''growing up'' the main character goes through is quite intriguing."
✩✩✩✩✩ - "The entire fantasy world is created in such a way that resembles real life emotions perfectly and combines those emotions with a little fiction flavor. The way of narrating flows nicely and concentrates only on the most important things and that really helps in keeping your interest from the beginning to the end."
✩✩✩✩✩ - "The Tale of Onora is an excellent story with a great plot full of unexpected turns. The character development is excellent and this is truly a great read for anyone who enjoys the fantasy genre as much as I do."
✩✩✩✩✩ - "The storyline enwraps in a really fast pace, which makes the book suitable for people, who like entertainment. The main character starts off in a really handicapped position - an emotionally scarred orphan and goes through a lot of ''development'' to become what he is in the end of the book."
✩✩✩✩✩ - "The concept around the book is very well organized and the entire process of ''growing up'' the main character goes through is quite intriguing."
The journey is the reward. I'll have left behind something tangible to reflect my life, knowing that I danced and sang while the music was being played. I have no regrets other than being too driven and focused to enjoy the present moments sometimes, something I'm trying to get better at, and I didn't travel the world when the economy was good and there were tons of safety nets below me.
I play music a lot with my friends, but I have no desire to be a professional musician. I was heavily influence by Jimi Hendrix, but also by orchestral music, so I have a unique style that's fun to explore and almost never gets boring.
Music: I love everything that's made with passion. I play guitar like John Frusciante.
Shows: I rarely watch TV because I'm too busy making my own work. So much so that I finally got rid of cable. Best decision ever. No more "programming".
Food: I haven't shopped at a grocery store for produce in years. I'm a farmers market kind of guy. It's less expensive, healthier, the food lasts longer because it hasn't been aging in transit, and you don't pay taxes on anything. Funny, before I moved to LA I didn't even know what one was. If you put a gun to my head, I prefer the style of Mediterranean food generally, but I eat everything except radioactive Pacific Ocean seafood and I try to avoid GMOs at all costs. I cook one of the best ribeye steaks on the planet.
Something to record my ideas (pen, paper, computer, whatever we may use next).

You can be silly. We won't be the same people in 5 years, so if there's one thing I'd want someone close to me to keep consistent as she evolves, it would be having a great sense of humor!
