My self-summary
I run a startup company in NYC. I like to sing to strangers in times square. Wingtips? Yes please. Two please. My bucket list is extensive, and I've actually been making some pretty damn good progress on it so far. I'm Irish, so I like tea and beer. I'm Spanish, so I talk with my hands and enjoy dancing.
What I’m doing with my life
Enjoying the hell out of it. Starting companies. Consulting for the government. Writing books. Occasionally making movies, commercials, and music videos. Finding excuses to travel around the world and call it work.
I’m really good at
Singing in public, meeting new people, laughing at myself, theorizing about who the mother is on HIMYM. Oh, and sports where you might find a rich old white man in a monocle saying things like "good show old chap!" Except Monopoly. I suck at Monopoly even though there's a rich old white man in a monocle on the box.
The first things people usually notice about me
Two things:

1. My glasses. Apparently people love them.

2. That I look like someone they know. Seriously, this happens to me pretty much on a monthly basis. Sometimes it makes me think I should have been a secret agent.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books- Anything by Frank Herbert, Scott Sigler, Michael Crighton, Agatha Christie, George R.R. Martin, or Jack London. And who doesn't love Harry Potter? These days I end up reading a ton of non-fiction because I'm on the hunt for new skills.

Movies- I've been making movies since high school and geek out over film. Putting a full list here would be crazy, but some good ones off the top of my head are: The Sting, North by Northwest, Closer, Fight Club, The Thing (the original), The Score, Spy Game, Taking of Pelham 123 (the original), Total Recall (old and new), The Godfather, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Casablanca, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Zoolander, Super Bad, Wedding Crashers, The Hangover, Beverly Hills Cop, Iron Man, The Dark Knight, Dawn of the Dead, Trading Places, and Rush Hour. Basically anything exciting, funny, or well-made.

TV- Currently the only ones I keep up with regularly are Community, Game of Thrones, Daily Show/Colbert, and HIMYM. Shows I love but haven't had time to catch up on include Breaking Bad, Homeland, Boardwalk Empire, Mad Men, 30 Rock, The Office, Shameless, and Archer. I'm a sucker for anything by Joss Whedon or Aaron Sorkin, and if you like the BBC's Sherlock you get instant cool points.

Music- I enjoy all types of music, but country rarely does it for me. This is another category with far too many things to list, so I'll go with artists I've rocked out to in the past month or so: Graffiti6, Childish Gambino, Nine Inch Nails, A Tribe Called Quest, Macklemore, Jay-Z, Bob Marley, Blink-182, Kendrick Lamar, Frank Ocean, Muse, Avicii, fun, Jeff Buckley, Britten, Debussy, Snoop Dogg/Lion, RHCP, Jeff Buckley, Modest Mouse, and Dropkick Murphys.

Food- I'm an extremely adventurous eater, and will try anything once. When I was in China last year I ate that ultra-deadly-if-not-prepared-right-and-there's-no-antidote-so-you're-fucked puffer fish. Twice.
The six things I could never do without
- Hokie football
- Frequent flier programs
- Running shoes
- My voice
- All four seasons
- A camera
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My work. In an "I'm passionate about what I'm doing" kind of way, not an "I'm boring and have no soul" kind of way. How I can travel into space before I die. Cinematography. Chord progressions. Why the R train is so unreliable.
On a typical Friday night I am
Rocking out at Karaoke Killed the Cat, drinking gin in the East Village, entertaining friends at my apartment, trying to find new places to explore around the city.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I probably ignored your "Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food" section completely. Why? Because I have yet to see an answer in there that changes my opinion of a match one way or the other. It's not like I'm going to say "this girl is amazing and beautiful and... oh no she didn't mention Game of Thrones?! Deal-breaker!"

What I would find way more interesting is a "Books, movies, shows, music, and food that I HATE" section- I think it would be far more revealing.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 19–28
  • Near me

You should message me if
- You are happy, laid-back, and intelligent.
- You want to go on an adventure.
- You have something interesting to say.
- We know each other in real life. It's so much weirder if you don't.

If you suggest going on a date somewhere that has Dominion Oak Barrel Stout on tap, I'm pretty much guaranteed to say yes.
