My Notes edit

My self-summary

Hi everyone, I guess I have to start out saying that I'm kind of a goofball, but it's ok, being a dork is kinda fun at times. I'm 23 and having fun with life. I don't really know what to write in things like this but I'd be glad to talk to you :) I have a couple tattoos, both of which can be covered up or shown depending on who I'm around. I like them, and I'll probably get more when I find the time/money/idea that I like.

I like poetry, I used to play bass for a band while I was in high school... I have sort of kept up with it, and I like to write music for acoustic guitar as well as my own lyrics(the poetry thing again). I don't sing very well (my voice is on the baritone/bass side), and I tend to have a hard time playing and singing at the same time, but I have fun layering tracks together or playing with friends.

Music is a big passion in my life, I mostly enjoy the heavier stuff, but I can enjoy almost anything (I've never been big on rap music). I tend to like instrumentals more then most lyrics. I love it when a girl can sing, I really enjoy the female voice.

I like nature, and love animals. I would love to have a dog, but I work rather long shifts so I don't think it would be fair to the dog unless I had a roommate to help share the responsibility (I live alone at the moment).

I like darker beers and good scotch. I don't drink all that often due to work, but when I do, I like to enjoy the drinks. I did take a beer brewing class while in college, and I eventually would like to find the time/recipes to work on my own brews to have around the house/with guests.

I also love stand up comedy... If you get to know me, you might be able to tell that I like joking around and being random. I don't know if it's sad or what, but I tend to quote comics that I like... but there's a really long list of them.

What I'm doing with my life

Working as an electrical engineer and having fun with friends. Never know exactly what the weekend will bring, but it always turns out fun. Enjoying what I can, having a beer and watching the sun go down... I'm not trying to be cliche... I live in the middle of nowhere, the little things are a big part of my life.

I'm really good at

Making dumb jokes? I don't know? I like writing poetry, some of it I have been told is decent enough. If you're interested, I'd be glad to share after getting to know you a bit.

I've been told I'm good at hugging, I'm kind of a teddybear, as one could probably guess.

The first thing(s) people usually notice about me

Probably my eyes, they change colors randomly. It doesn't really have anything to do with my mood (as far as I know), but I like making eye contact when I talk, so that may also have something to do with it... but I've never really asked what people notice about me most.

Either that, or I tend to be kind of shy around new people. It might not be the first thing they notice, but people realize pretty quick how fast I open up.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I'm kind of a metalhead, I like all kinds of different music though. I like sushi, and I'll pretty much try anything once. I like a lot of the dorkier movies, or anything with Arnold in it can make me laugh. As far as books, nothing beats Ender's Game.

I like good beer, and I'm weird enough to admit that conversation is my condiment. It can, and should, be added to every meal. I will admit... I often try beers because of their names, not just the styles and descriptions. Is it wrong to look at the pretty label and want to drink it?

The six things I could never do without

1) Music (mostly the heavier stuff, but I like a lot of different things)
2) Friends
3) Water (I don't mean it as a joke, I love water)
4) Surprises and unplanned fun (Random/spontaneous always good :) )
5) Darts (I love my dart board)
6) Lazy afternoons in the sun, without a care in the world

I spend a lot of time thinking about

The future, past times with friends, music, comedic elements of the world that are probably only funny to me, or something random that 9 times out of 10, I don't even know how it got into my head.

On a typical Friday night I am

Usually out with friends, but who knows what we're doing. There is probably music involved though... many of my friends are metalheads.

The most private thing I'm willing to admit here

I'm kinda clumsy sometimes... I bump into stuff a lot... It's not the most private thing in the world, but it's something right?

I'm a bit on the shy side guess... so I tend to keep things to myself, but after I get to know you, I'll usually open up fairly well.

I'm a little bit of a dork at times, I like video games, generally the RPG genre is my favorite, but I'm up for anything.

You should message me if

You want to? If you live near or around where I'm at and want a new friend? I just moved to the area recently, so I'd be all for another friend.

If you like music, that's always a plus. If you like/write poetry, I love comparing and developing on that side. Even if all you want to do it talk for a bit, I'm good for that.

You are a girl that LIKES beer. No I don't mean going out and getting drunk at a bar. I mean a girl that is willing to try microbrewed beers, international beers, dork out with me talking about "that new beer you tried last night!"
