My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
So, not really sure how to go about summarizing myself. Most of the things one could say end up fitting in one of the other categories. So, we'll go with that.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working full-time, hanging with friends, playing video games... Relatively standard stuff, I imagine. Also looking for a new job opportunities in various locales. Kinda wanting to leave my current job in favor of something that's closer to what I actually want to do.

Working on losing the extra weight I put on in high school and college. It's progressing.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Listening, apparently. Lots of my friends like to tell me all the things.

If you can be considered "good" at reading, I am that. Good at debating and pulling apart arguments, words, and meanings.

Getting better at non-mental things lately, but not quite to "good".
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm not sure, really. I've never asked, and the few that have volunteered have given so many different answers.

Right now, though, I think I'm going to have to go with the beard. People seem rather impressed by it, of late.

EDIT: The beard is not much smaller and more manageable, after this year's DCon. Plan to keep it smaller now. People still like it, though, it seems.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Oh, so many...

Books: All of Star Wars EU, The Dresden Files, Codex Alera, Song of Ice and Fire, Name of the Wind series, many many manga, Wheel of Time. If I went into the spare room and started listing off all the books I have and have read, I'm pretty sure I'd hit some kind of "characters per entry" cap.

Movies: Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Hobbit, Aliens 1-2, many recent superhero movies, Prometheus. Basically, if it can be considered geeky or nerdy, I've probably seen and enjoyed it.

Shows: Warehouse 13, Doctor Who, Torchwood, Primeval, Eureka!, Avatar: Last Airbender, Avatar: Legend of Korra, Castle, Firefly, various other cartoons, various anime. I have plenty of TV shows that I follow, usually sporadically, main-lining all the new stuff in one big sleepless weekend.

Music: My tastes here are just about as eclectic as you can get. Video game soundtracks to alternative to german industrial metal. It varies song-to-song, usually.

Food: Eat just about anything, at least once. Grew up on Italian, but I've been avoiding that of late. Mexican, Chinese, American... I'll try just about anything once.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Friends
2. Internet Access
3. Games (video, board, tabletop, whatever)
4. My two cats (Jawa and Ewok. Yes. Shaddup :D)
5. Coffee/Tea
6. ...

I'll think of that last one, eventually, promise =D. And I'm actually working on cutting down #5. Running low on "needs", here, ha.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Game design. Really, since that's my career goal, it shouldn't be all that surprising. I don't bring it up much, since others aren't that interested, but it's always there, in the back of my mind, lurking... Haha.

When I'll try writing down these stories that fly through my head.

When my next coffee break is.

Why there is so much dumb in the code I am fixing.

Otherwise, how to get through work, what I'm doing for the weekend, when I'm meeting up with friends, etc.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Usually hanging out with friends. Barring that, at home catching up on shows or gaming. I tend not to go out much by myself. Possibly working on cosplay stuff, since that's a pretty decent amount of my time, lately.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Hrm, probably about anything, if you ask.

Any reason, really. Just to chat about anything, to ask questions, to get to know me. If you're a huge geek, I like finding new things to get into or discussing old ones. If you're a gamer, that's always a win.

Hope to hear from ya =).
