Racism in classes I have taken always seems to be the most wrapped
around the mindset of some white guy holding down another ethnicity
or some white guy making disparaging remarks about other cultures.
However, this is more of a symptom of a superiority complex, rather
than the real problem... the superiority complex.
The most prevalent racism in the world I believe is simply
discrimination against ALL other ethnicities in a blanket
preference of your own. I have seen this over and over again in my
own personal life. I had an acquaintance that was Serbian... but
she would only date serbian guys... well actually she was
American... had been here since she was 9 years old, but was so
culturally biased that she always referenced Serbia as her home,
and only would surround herself with Serbian friends. Other
examples are of Jewish friends, or Mormon friends that would
explicitly say they only wanted to help out others of their
type.
All of this is just hogwash racism under the flag of some bias that
people find more acceptable and easy to reference due to the
current cultural stigma related to race in the US.
So in short. Are you a racist if you dislike black people, or
asians? Or are you a racist if you only like or acquaint yourself
with your own culture?
In closing I give you a small experiment I conducted that shows a
hilarious trend. Google: " singles" in your web browser on
google... you will find that there is a site for all cultures and
all creeds to exclude all others.
examples:
www.singlesindia.com
www.blacksingles.com
www.mexicancupid.com
www.meetmuslimsingles.com
www.jewishcafe.com
www.scandinaviasingles.com
www.koreancupid.com
and on and on...
Maybe in very specific preferences with extremely tight filters
these people will find exactly what they are looking for... and
realise... it was not what they actually wanted.

Racism, it is not just what you think it is.
I have recently come to realize just how strange the stuff that
gets me excited is. I tried to explain it to a couple nerdy friends
and even they just could not understand the implications of these
topics.
There are things that are out there right now ... that actually
exist that would completely blow your mind, or at least it should.
Stuff that seems like a science fiction movie... but isn't science
fiction at all, but is readily doable and being created right
now.
Two technologies that exist at the moment are these.
1) Brain to computer interfaces (BCI).. basically like the matrix.
You think a thought and the computer can detect the thought and can
execute some code because of it. What does it mean? It could end
all paralysis for patients with spinal chord injuries.(I have
already seen a person with irreparable spinal injuries use a device
like this, pick up a glass of water and drink from it, when he has
NO ability to do this without the BCI device.) Or, it can even
provide a way to control robotic limbs for amputee victims that
respond to your thoughts without physical intervention... and a
laundry list of other stuff that literally sounds like fantasy..
but is real.. (like making blind people see... seriously)
2) Programmable matter. (This is just insanely cool) Just think the
liquid metal guy from terminator II... and you will have an idea of
what it will one day be able to do... but as of now the first steps
are already here. Transformable programmable matter is not science
fiction... it already exists. Intel.. that computer semiconductor
manufacturer... (check out the Intel developer forum videos for
their take on it) already has divisions working on this
technology... but their examples are years behind something like
this... http://unit.aist.go.jp/is/dsysd/mtran3/ Check out the
videos... every block that makes up the objects are the
same...
Within a decade... BCI will be standard and in many homes, and some
programming and developing elite will have access to machines that
transform themselves and can move ... commanded by nothing more
than a thought from a person.
The technology is advanced... especially the programmable matter..
but there is nothing going to stop it from coming, and I hope I
will be one of the lucky guys that get to work on it, test it, and
use it. But all things in time.
This stuff is just so cool.

"Yes or no"
Hmmm. I remember getting that question before OK cupid removed the
ability to see what the statistical binning percentages were. On
that question it was 100% NO.
I just cannot imagine how that could be a unanimous No. I guess I
just have a good imagination, so 5000 seems like a pretty round
number... So, IMNSHO if someone has had 5000 sex partners, they
cease to be a human being and become a walking DNA basin.
Now where in between 0 and 5000 there are classifications or a
gradient of my inability to grasp that persons incredible desire
for new partners or my comfort level... that is a tougher question.
But I really don't get how someone could answer an emphatic NO on
that question in this day and age with STD's and all.
Wow.

Is there such a thing as too many sex partners?
I don't even know where to begin.
Largest workplace raid ever

A total of 1,282 workers were arrested Tuesday at six Swift &
Co. meat packing plants, including 261 workers at the plant in
Greeley, federal officials said during a press conference this
morning.
Homeland Security Chief Michael Chertoff said 65 workers have been
charged criminally. The other 1,217 workers are being held
on administrative charges of immigration violations. The
arrested workers are from Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador,
Peru, Laos, Sudan, Ethiopia and other countries.
"This is the single largest workforce enforcement operation to
date," said Julie Myers, assistant secretary of Immigration and
Custom Enforcement, in describing what agents called "Operation
Wagon Train."
Chertoff added: "I will pretty much guarantee you we're going to
continue bringing in these cases."
Of the Colorado workers, 11 of them will be or have been charged
criminally and will be prosecuted. The fate of the other 250
Greeley workers being held on immigration violations is unclear,
whether they will be released, deported or charged
criminally.
More than 1,000 federal agents conducted the raids Tuesday at Swift
& Co. meat processing plants in Colorado, Nebraska, Utah,
Texas, Iowa and Minnesota.
At least 250 workers were detained at Swift's Grand Island,
Neb., plant, which employs 600 people.
Swift, which claims to be the second-largest meat processing
company in the world, said it employs 10,000 people, including
2,700 in Greeley.
Swift had been told that immigration agents were going to raid
the packing plants on Dec. 4. Swift's lawyers went to court to
stop the raid, arguing it would cause "substantial and irreparable
injury" to the company. A federal judge denied the request last
Thursday.
Chertoff said Swift has cooperated with the government's Basic
Pilot program that tracks Social Security numbers around the
country. He explained that the program is limited because it can
only match names with Social Security numbers.
The program does not spot multiple uses of the same Social Security
number.
"If we could get permission from Congress to have the Social
Security Administration identify multiple appearances of the same
identification, it would help us do our job," Chertoff said.
Myers said a raid in Minnesota earlier this year exposed a ring of
identity thieves who were selling actual birth certificates of
Puerto Rican citizens.

Wow... There are so many things wrong here...
Finally some sanity in this nation. The turn was much greater than
I thought it would be, but what a fantastic day.
House, Senate, and a new Secretary of Defense.
I love America, yet for the last few years I could not imagine the
raw and unabridged fraud, scandal, and mismanagement of my nation.
Even worse was the 2004 election that by then should have been
clear to everyone what was going on, yet the election rebuffed
moderation for yet more of the same and only to give it fresh wind
to this anarchy to sail on unabated.
Today it finally came to an end, and finally we can let go of that
long sigh and look forward to a much different future.
