I am awesome, intellectual, and sarcastic.

My Self-Summary

I'm just a guy. Hanging out, doing my thing. Trying to be awesome. I was born and raised in the great and wonderful booming city of Toledo. I am a big fan of indie music, Ohio State football, Detroit Red Wings hockey, storms, sleeping in, Guinness, the food network, and playing basketball. Oh, and girls too. It would be wrong of me not to include that, but I didn't want to start off the list with that and come off as creepy.

What I’m doing with my life

I have just finished grad school (I got my MBA from UT) and am now in pursuit of employment. But in the mean time I'm enjoying this little period of minimal responsibilities. I'm also getting ready to take the CFA test in December (it's a big serious professional finance test).

I’m really good at

Cooking: I've been influenced by my father, Alton Brown, Bobby Flay, and Top Chef. Although I cook no where near as well as any of them... yet.

Playing Rock Band and beer pong: the result of years of college

Trivia: I have been called the superhero of pointless and obscure information. Ok, maybe people don't call me that, but I do know an inordinate amount of trivial stuff.

Finance: It was my major in undergrad and specialization for grad school.

The first things people usually notice about me

Inevitably my height. I'm 6'8".

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: Catch-22, The River Why, Choke, Freakonomics, Giants In the Earth, Collapse, Slaughterhouse 5

Movies: Dead Man, Juno, Goodfellas, Donnie Darko, Rules of Attraction, Waiting..., Brotherhood of the Wolf, Everything Is Illuminated, Brick, Almost Famous

Music: vampire weekend, MGMT, fleet foxes, the national, the arcade fire, bloc party, cursive, the wolf parade, my morning jacket, radiohead, sufjan stevens, the white stripes, atmosphere, ben folds, animal collective, elliot smith, led zeppelin, the beastie boys

Food: If it's well made, there's a good chance I like it. Better if made from fresh ingredients. Prepared foods (boxed or canned stuff) is just missing something.

The six things I could never do without

1. My friends
2. Music
3. My dog, Trevor
4. Morning coffee
5. Good food
6. Internet access

I spend a lot of time thinking about

My future. Where I will work, what I will do, and how will I make it all happen.

But when I tire of that I think about philosophies, and politics, and economics. Things that are far more fun to think about.

On a typical Friday night I am

Out with my friends. Either a get-together/party at someone's house or out at the bars.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I'm not going to lie... I not only watched 7th Heaven, but was a little sad when it ended.

You should message me if

you're a smart fun girl who is no more than 50% crazy.
