Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
If you live in the attic they can't call you a basement troll.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working on finishing up my undergrad finally (illness,
circumstance and indifference have conspired to make it take far
longer than it should have) before probably heading to teacher's
college, since it's the family tradition and all haha just
kidding another year to go, my education is destined to be
interminable -_-. I want to be a writer eventually, but I'm
pragmatic enough to realize that that doesn't happen overnight, so
I'm willing to do another job (whenever I find one) that will
probably be fulfilling in the meantime. Still, in furtherance of
that goal I'm currently involved with a zine project and a writing
group at the 519 that I am informed I fail at going to so I guess I
should think twice about mentioning it.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Cooking, when I don't give in to my baser urges and drown
everything in an inch-thick layer of cayenne pepper. I can also
write fairly well, which had better be the case given the
aforementioned heap of money I'm blowing on not getting an english
degree. I like to run, play cards, and dance. I wander all over
town in my spare time too, so if there's a nice neighbourhood or
tranquil pathway downtown, chances are pretty good that you might
see me there some sunny afternoon.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Is that I'm tall, apparently. You would think with the number of
other people kicking around that are over six feet these days that
this wouldn't count as remarkable, but I guess some people are
easily impressed. Usually the old ones.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
My favorite films include Lost in Translation, American Beauty,
True Lies because Arnie is awesome and no one will ever convince me
of otherwise, Superbad, Dr. Strangelove, Office Space, and that one
movie Guy Ritchie somehow got away with making on three different
I don't watch a heck of a lot of TV, but I have watched a
depressing amount of the Simpsons and Law and Order, and I'm
addicted to the British series Skins because it is awesome (and I'm
not just saying that cuz Luke Pasqualino is hot honest!)
Bookwise I'm a sucker for Margaret Atwood and Kurt Vonnegut, and I
also like George R R Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series because
I haven't quite managed to bash my inner D&D nerd into
submission at this point in time.
My favorite bands are The Arcade Fire, U2, Fear of Tigers, and
Fleet Foxes, and I'm also partial to Green Day, Sigur Ros, MGMT
when they're not doing their level best to OD and be proud of it
for some reason, Anoraak, and Radiohead. I'm also keen on Neil
Young since my parents used to play his stuff on long car rides,
which made for a welcome interlude between the Rankin Family and
Garth Brooks *shudder*. This isn't to say that they both had
questionable taste in music, but my mom's love of new country was a
fearsome force for evil in this world.
Most food is only worth eating if it's spicy in my view. I love
Chinese, Indian, and Carribean for that reason, and take pains to
be haughty about the crap that's available out in the suburbs since
once you've gone Kom Jug you'll never go back. I also like Japanese
and Korean and -- let's just say I like to eat kay?
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. My family
2. The internets
3. My ipod
4. Insulin since I need it to live :(
5. Politics and beer, not necessarily in that order.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
how this profile has none of the wit and sparkle of Murphy Brown.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Either hanging out with friends or wasting time online cuz I have
to work the next day.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Pretty well anything if you phrase it as a direct question... I'm a
horrible liar :(

you wanna talk to me obviously :P I used to have fun back when
instant messengers didn't put firewalls in place to ensure that
people didn't actually get to meet randoms online, so why should it
be any different here? Also if you have a french accent and dark
hair and pretty eyes and nice legs my superficial side would be
very appreciative, but mainly just be not insane, have something
interesting to say, and share an interest or two with me.
