My Notes edit
My self-summary
1. Write paragraphs on end detailing my life, the various choices I made surmounting obstacles during my adolescence; my ambitious nature that has driven me toward many accomplishments in life; my tendency to put others before myself, but quick to speak up if I feel taken advantage of; or that the true meaning of life is to live it and enjoy it- and that a mistake is merely an opportunity incognito.
2. Hey YO! Up hear in da hizzle, I be r0llin 20s down the col5ax proper with my shotties.
3. Insertion of various witty comments in an intelligently structured fashion that lends itself to insightful observation and keen dialectical exchanges.
4. Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipisicing elit, sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua. What I'm doing with my life
By night you'll either find me executing deft skills at the gym after work, cheering on DU's latest victory, re-capping an awesome powder day at Beau Jo's kicking back on the 19th hole, throwing Ippon, or just geeking out to the latest episode of Chuck and Heroes.
I'm really good at
I grill a damn good bovine, and make tasty cinnamon sugar bananas.
On top of that- busting out some Liszt on the ivories; riding through powder on a gorgeous winter day; figuring out how and why something works.
The first thing(s) people usually notice about me
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books: So even though my 'Personality Award' indicates 'Less Literary', I do enjoy reading- I just haven't had a lot of extra time to do that lately. When I do read, I tend to prefer the classics like Fahrenheit 451, 1984, East of Eden etc. At the same time I love good science fiction (contains political/social commentary)...e.g. Herbert, Heinlein, Adams, etc I'm also a sucker for a good Arthurian legend. As of late, Bernard Cornwell rocks my socks off with the Warlord Chronicles.
Movies: I'm a huge movie buff (gobs of DVDs)...some of my favorites include Run Lola Run, Brotherhood of the Wolf, Fight Club, Se7en, V for Vendetta, Happy Gilmore etc
If you like The Big Bang Theory we'll get along great!
Music: My musical tastes vary across the board, from Liszt, Chopin and Grieg; to Gershwin, Brubeck and Brad Mehldau; to Maroon 5, the Flobots and Rammstein.
Food: I'm a sucker for a great steak, but I'm generally pretty open to anything except seafood. Indian is awesome, as is Thai etc. I can't say I could live without a good brisket or baby back ribs either :-)
One of my favorite quotes: First They Came
The six things I could never do without
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Yes I am aware of the inherent geekiness of this proposal, but hey, it's a challenge and I'm up for it ;-)
On top of that contemplating the 'how' and 'why' behind daily observations and activities (some much more profound than others)...for instance-
Why is it that a $5 dvd in the bin at Wally World is caked in anti-theft stickers and obnoxious packaging, whereas the $60 Xbox game has a single sticker for easy removal?
Recently I've just been thinking about powder days this winter! =)I'm just itching to ride some powder this winter!
