My self-summary
If you give me 4-5 stars, or favourite me, consider sending a message. The confidence of doing so is attractive.

British, (with a stereotypical Oxford-English accent), living in Belgium after an accidental emigration.

I have a creative and technical mindset. I'm talkative - but I'm usually interesting, according to others at least. I'm good at listening when my friends need someone to talk to. I'm comfortable and confident with new people and situations, and I like making anyone laugh.

Quickfire bits: Artist at heart; I don't identify with one single social sub-group; extremely honest, (but I try not to be rude); I'm very independent; I would do anything for the truly important people in my life; fair natured; optimistic; I always try to be patient, open-minded and objective; secular humanist and a strong sceptic; easy going; I love science, the natural world, and new discoveries.

Some of my Philosophies:
(1) You only get one life; (2) You don't need a reason to do the right thing; (3) Give credit where it is due; (4) It's not the years in your life that count, it's the life in your years; (5) That which can be asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm an artist and designer by trade, mainly in 3D graphics. I run my own little games and CG art studio from my apartment.

The other half of my work time is spent supervising the creation and running of a Multimedia Lab at the EHB in Brussels. It includes: Motion Capture, 3D scanning, Visual Effects, Mobile Dev, 3D printing, and some robotics stuff.

I get to combine my love of science and CG art. #winning :D
I’m really good at
"Really good" feels a bit cocky, but some random talents I guess are:

(1) Art, both traditional and digital, 2D and 3D. (2) I have a strong mind for design, with lots of ideas and the ability to realise them. (3) Patience - with tasks, activities, and people. (4) Telling a good story; I'm told that "I have a way with words". (5) Memorising certain things. I have a very good long term memory for visual things, conversations, events, song lyrics/movie & TV quotes/segments from books etc.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: I LOVE to read! Ancient classics, contemporary, pulp, graphic novels - anything. I'm a BIG fan of science fiction and fantasy.

A few random favourites: 'Paradise Lost'; 'Ovids Metamorphosis'; 'The Great Gatsby'; 'Interview with a Vampire'; 'The Goon' graphic novels; LOTR; Dune; Ringworld; Horus Heresy series.

I also read LOTS of non-fiction articles from 'Science', 'Nature', etc - as well as humanist and sceptic books & publications

Music: I never have a day without music. There's not really any genre that I can say "I dislike all of it". I've always loved hard rock and metal though, that's the kind of gig and festival I've gone to most.

I also really enjoy audiodrama and stand up comedy. I love to laugh, and I love good comedians, (Bill Hicks, George Carlin, Steven Wright, Dylan Moran, Bill Bailey, Jim Jefferies etc). I like interesting lectures and audiobooks whilst working, (My favourite public speaker to date is Christopher Hitchens).

Movies: I did have a big list here.. but really, I just love good cinema. I have a lot of favourite movies, from popular titles to the quite obscure.

TV Shows: Game of Thrones; Shameless, (UK version); Firefly; Farscape; Blackadder; HIMYM (early seasons); Breaking Bad; QI; Black Books; Father Ted; Futurama; South Park; American Dad; Family Guy; True Blood; The Big Bang Theory; House MD; The IT Crowd; Red Dwarf, (UK Version); Full Metal Alchemist; Evangelion.

Food: (1) Most oriental food; (2) Greek lamb; (3) Italian..anything; (4) Good curry / Indian. It's a Brit thing. I love spicy food. (5) A good steak or burger every now and then. (6) Most Mexican food.
The six things I could never do without
(1) A sketchbook/notepad. (2) Something to draw or write with. (3) Good Music. (4) Science! (5) My friends. (6) My sight.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Life, The Universe, and Everything! ..and more specifically, what I will do with the great privilege of having a small chunk of time in it, awareness of it - and the resources to enjoy, appreciate and add to it.
I have an active and fertile imagination, very real ambitions, strong intellectual and intuitive curiosity, and love to learn new things about the world.
On a typical Friday night I am
Out socialising somewhere with friends; ...or reading; gaming; at the gym; making some art; working; movie/tv show marathon.

You should message me if
I seem like someone you'd like to know better - and well done if you really read all that :D

I always try and reply to messages - but it's more likely if there's some effort in them, and I can see you read some of my profile.

A few deal-breakers - I'm not interested if:
- You're strictly religious/believe in god(s), outspoken about it, and not open to that belief ever changing.
- You don't sometimes like interesting conversations that can include deeper subjects.
- You're totally anti-kids.
- You like knowing what's going on with the Kardashians more than what's going on in the real world.
