My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I don't want to toot my own horn, but beep beep: I'm hilarious. I'm also sweet, sincere, and smart.

I'm a historian at heart, a philosopher by training, and a librarian by trade. I'm also a secret scientist that generally avoids conflating science with pseudo-sciences (like library science).
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm settling in at a new job. Going to film festivals like Sundance and the Cat Vid festival. That's not all the cat entertainment on my resume. I also went to the Circus Cat show. That concludes the list of cat entertainment.

I ran a 5k semi-recently, but that's not typical for me. I did it for a friend. I'm a really good friend. Which is not to say I am out of shape. I like to watch my shape lest I become misshapen.

Petting pets.

Sometimes I climb trees, into buildings. Then I steal all their magazines.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Making people laugh while they're trying to exercise. Canasta. Reading your mind.
The first things people usually notice about me

I am made of skin and hair. I like hats.

I like books that reference World's Fairs: Against the Day and Devil in the White City are a couple of favorites. Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo is kind of my favorite movie, but really, any movie where people dance to save a youth center is bound to be fantastic. EDIT: Breakin' 2 is no longer my favorite movie because it's seriously awful and doesn't even have a young JCVD* like the original to balance out the terrible with ridiculousness. My new favorite film is Milo and Otis.

* JCVD = Jean Claude Van Damme

I like musicians named Bill (Callahan, Oldham, Williams), Steve (Malkmus, Merritt), Philip (Elvrum), and Louis (Barlow). I also like musicians that faked their own deaths (Elliott Smith and Jeff Buckley). One of the musicians above is a persona I adopted for a few years whenever I was recording music. I killed him off at some point, but no worries, the memorial service was quite lovely.

I am adding a paragraph about TV. I like Louis, Girls, Arrested Development, Fishing with John, Twin Peaks, True Detective, and Breaking Bad.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My fake dog
The moon
Writing songs and stories
Fast horses
Good design
Slow dancing with you on a fast horse under the moon
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Whether I need a curio for my tchotchkes
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Brushing your hair... Right?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

I solved a murder. I didn't cause the murder.

I'm GGG.
