I'm Jon. Or JR, if you prefer. I've been likened to a bastardized combination of Ron Swanson and Andy Dwyer (equal parts, allegedly). I like to consider myself something of an analog man in a digital world, though it's tough to maintain that notion as I work in digital media. I'm still fairly new to this city, I work a lot and don't know too many people, thus I'm looking to broaden my horizons and expand my rolladex, be it simply as friends or maybe something more...

That's the short version. The long version can get convoluted and boring, but there's swordfights and explosions, so who cares?

I majored in liberal arts and moved to LA with the intention of "becoming an actor" as so many do. I worked as a fight choreographer / "violence designer" (a strange yet apt title I feel) for a number of small theater companies / independent film producers, and somehow found myself making videos on the internet.

So, in short, who knows? I love where I'm at and what I'm doing; I try to live life to it's fullest and have at least one good adventure a week (though ideally it's more than just one).

I'm not sure, honestly. People say my eyes or my hair or my laugh, some say it's the hint of a Masshole accent that comes out after a few drinks, but I guess you'll have to tell me yourself ...

I'm not ashamed to admit I read more comics than I do "real" books, so first off I'll say Batman (specifically stuff by Loeb, Morisson, and Jim Starlin), Walking Dead and (almost) all of Frank Miller's stuff. When it comes to "real" books, I'll read pretty much anything someone puts in my hands. Favorites include Bukowski, Brett Easton-Ellis, David Sedaris, and Dr. Seuss.

Movies/TV: I like the staples everyone else does, I suppose. GoT, Breaking Bad, Parks & Rec, Community, Archer, etc. I'm also an unabashed nerd, with a big spot in my heart for SciFi and hilariously bad action adventures from the 80s and 90s, as well as old-timey comedies (Some Like it Hot, Mad Mad Mad Mad World, etc).
My only rule is no Twilight and no Sex in the City. Enjoy those on your own time, or risk severe physical and psychological harm.

Food: Bacon. For vegetarians, it's been called the gateway meat. Also, everything else. Except sushi. Though apparently I've never had "good" sushi.
