I am sensitive, intuitive, and ω-consistent.

My Self-Summary

My name is Jeffrey! Perhaps an unusual fact about me is that I can feel rationality.

I am obsessed with all things mathematical! I am notorious for forming mathematical analogues for almost anything, as it occupies most of my conscious thoughts and probably all of my unconscious thoughts. I am also obsessed with organizing and cataloguing my books and other materials. I take pride in keeping my things neat and orderly, and there is a proper location for everything.

I require long periods of solitude during the day, which I usually spend doing homework, research, or letting my mind wander uninhibitedly.

I reject all politics - my views tend to be pessimistic and cynical - and I believe it is an absurd and preposterous endeavor.

My sensitivity and openness to experience are my defining features. Combined with my intuition and eccentricity they produce a beautiful intellect. However, sometimes my associations are skewed, in which case they produce minor perceptual distortions: my thinking pattern becomes more nonlinear.

I always carry a clipboard and notepad around with me to jot down random thoughts, ideas, and things I want to do. I've found it to be quite useful.

I have a soft spot for kitties, bunnies, baby duckies, and cute girlies! It would be a dream come-true if I had the chance to cuddle with all four of these beautiful creatures at once.

What I’m doing with my life

Studying Mathematics and Computer Science, and minoring in Latin at the University of Illinois-Chicago. I eventually want to attend graduate school and obtain a doctoral degree. My ambition is to participate in theoretical research in mathematics and related fields.

I’m really good at

Whatever I transfer my exertions into.

The first things people usually notice about me

Most people usually base their initial judgements off superficial criteria, and, generally, we usually notice what we are subconsciously predisposed to notice.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I read non-fiction. I don't have the patience to read fiction, and don't care much for it. To give you a general idea of the kinds of books I read, here is a brief list: Relativity - The Special and General Theory by Albert Einstein; The Emperor's New Mind by Roger Penrose; The Imprinted Brain by Christopher Badcock; Gödel, Escher, Bach - An Eternal Golden Braid by Douglas R. Hofstadter; I Am A Strange Loop by Douglas R. Hofstadter; these books are definitely worth mentioning.

As for movies, I only have a few that I would call favorites, but I have enjoyed many of them throughout my life. My favorites include: A Beautiful Mind, Shawshank Redemption, Edward Scissor-Hands, Shine, Godfather part 2, Napoleon Dynamite, and Young Frankenstein.

My favorite music tends to be baroque classical (J.S. Bach, Pachelbel), progressive rock (Rush, Genesis before 1980), classic rock (Rainbow, Blue Oyster Cult), classic metal (Black Sabbath), metal (Ozzy Osbourne, Iron Maiden), 50s/60s oldies (the Supremes, Four Tops), and 80s rock/pop.

Foods: Mostly vegetables and seafood, including lobster, crab, fish, scallops, shrimps, calamari, squid, octopus, sushi, eggplants, mushrooms, zucchini, artichokes, olives. I also like pastas, pickled asparagus, italian beef, plump and juicy all-beef hotdogs, pizza with any of the above ingredients, mexican, italian, chinese, and greek food.

The six things I could never do without

The six things that I've come up with can all be reduced to the following two things:

- Love/Passion
- Sensitivity

I spend a lot of time thinking about

I am almost never lacking in rich thought content. There is always something to muse in my mind, whether it be as trivial as where I'm going to get coffee, or as profound as mathematics or philosophy. Here is a list of my current up-to-date interests. Be aware that they are constantly being refined and updated, and that there are hundreds more where these came from...

Mathematics, metamathematics, Logic, language, Set theory, Recursion theory, Model theory, non-standard analysis, Gödel's incompleteness theorems, self-reference, nonlinear recurrence relations, Computer science, algorithmic complexity, structural complexity, Discrete mathematics, Information theory, Category theory, Proof theory, Game theory, the Algebras, Number theory, prime numbers, recursively enumerable sets, number patterns, number systems, Physics, Biological sciences, developmental neuropsychology, Neuropsychiatry, Neurogenetics, genomic imprinting, emergenesis, Imprinted Brain theory, cybernetic systems, systems theory, control theory, self-organization, dynamical psychology, brain plasticity, brain algorithms, mathematical thinking processes, cognitive psychology, consciousness, personality theories, Adlerian psychology, abnormal psychology, philosophy, Metareality, abstract digital art, fractal art, the artwork of M.C. On a typical Friday night I am

Not very unlikely pacing around my garage, drinking coffee, smoking cigarettes and listening to classical music while temporarily disengaged from reality: my favorite self-stimulating escape activity next to video-games.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I have Asperger's syndrome, a form of high-functioning autism. At age 16 I underwent a psychotic breakdown, was diagnosed with Schizoaffective disorder at age 19, and now I'm on medication and fully functioning.

You should message me if

- You want to give me a virtual *hug*
- You want to share the enjoyment of mathematics with me
- You have any form of autism, or psychotic disorder
- You know what well-formed formulae are, and you want to discuss theories involving them.
- You are studying linguistics, Latin, Greek, or are creating your own language from scratch.

and most importantly,
- You want to talk to me about anything other than what I have listed above.
