I am open-minded, philosophical, political (specifically, progressive/liberal), intelligent, and active. I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt and trust them unless given a reason not to (and I appreciate it when people do the same for me). I skydive, hike, bike, ski, and I am interested in all sorts of similar outdoor activities. I have a positive attitude towards life; there is no point in being alive if you can't enjoy it!

Other details: I have a master's degree in computer engineering. I am a big fan of independent film and unusual food. I enjoy massage, both giving and receiving. I have a good sense of humor and would like to be with someone who appreciates that.

I just started my first real post-college job in August 2004 designing communications electronics for a military contractor. I ski or skydive almost every weekend, depending on the weather. I love the outdoors and anything that gets me outside is a good thing. I enjoy cooking, but I rarely cook for myself. I love trying new things, so this box is subject to change regularly.

Apparently, I am also spending lots of time taking OkCupid tests even if it is something I know I'll do poorly on. I may want to rethink this part of my life.

I just bought a house, so that's keeping me pretty busy too.

Anything involving computers. Learning stuff. Massage. Pulling so close to drive-through windows that people inside comment on it (but only in Utah, for some reason). I'm not a bad cook, but I don't do it often enough to really be good. I have my USPA B-license in skydiving and am working on a coach rating.

I guess that depends on my mood. When I want to make an impression, I usually make one. People probably notice my dorky security badge if I forget to take it off after work, but I'm getting better about that.

Books: I read a lot of nonfiction these days...but I do happen to be a big Chuck Palahniuk fan. I'm reading "Life of Pi" by Yann Martel now.

Movies: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Fight Club, Garden State, The Shawshank Redemption, Memento, The Fifth Element, Starship Troopers, American History X, Frequency, High Fidelity, Pushing Tin, Donnie Darko, Clerks, The Usual Suspects, Run Lola Run, The Secret Lives of Dentists, The Butterfly Effect, Life is Beautiful, Nine Queens, Office Space, Gattaca, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, Dark City, The Boondock Saints, Sneakers, Minority Report, One Hour Photo, Shakespeare in Love......and many more. I am a bit of a movie buff.

Music: No country, but most other genres. A small subset of artists: Smashing Pumpkins, Tool, Ministry, Muse, VNV Nation, Finger Eleven, Jimmy Eat World, N.E.R.D., AFI, Jay-Z, Covenant, Tapping the Vein...

Food: Thai is probably my favorite, but Indian, Sushi, and Mexican are good depending on my mood. I enjoy Ethiopian too, but I don't suspect I'll find any in Utah.... I'll really try just about anything, and I like most of what I try.

My parachute, skis, computer, and my sweet sweet tempurpedic bed. Good conversation (and, more generally, human interaction). Independence.

Everything.....my mind is always running....just not always in a reasonable direction. I just bought a house, so that's been occupying a lot of my thinking time lately.

It varies. I don't go out and party much, but I think that's mostly because I don't hang out with many people who do that these days. I tend to be in more of a mood for staying in and watching movies or something since I tend to be pretty active during the weekend. I get every other Friday off, so sometimes I'm still off doing whatever it was I decided to spend my day on.

Sexually, I tend to enjoy the journey at least as much as the destination. People who feel the same tend to be a lot more compatible with me.

You are intelligent, creative, easygoing, and at least tolerant of my liberal beliefs. Bonus points if you give good massages or are willing to learn. You should also find yourself wanting to truly enjoy life. In the end, if you are interested, go ahead. A compelling message can overcome a lot.
