I am on my journey to self-discovery. I am introverted and do not need much external stimulation. I prefer small groups. Sometimes I just sit and think or meditate. I love reading about behavioral profiling. I am moderately conservative in a few areas. My political beliefs are best described as libertarian. I despise censorship. I work night shift, which gives me an awkward sleep schedule. I believe a lot of mental disorders in the DSM-IV are not disorders, but rather labels made to control people who are 'different'. In some ways I'd agree with Thomas Szasz (The Myth of Mental Illness), but not to the full extent. I've been going to a quaker church and really enjoy it. They are very accepting, but I don't quite fit in yet. I am quiet until you get to know me, and even then I don't talk a whole lot. I am working on loosening up.

I have a boyfriend and plan on eventually marrying him. I am on here because it helps me procrastinate. I've been bored a lot lately.

I am a student at OU majoring in Psychology and Criminology. I graduate in December 2010, but I need to be enrolled full-time the following semester to keep my insurance. So I am going to take the funnest blow-off classes at community college the following Spring. I'm working at a youth shelter part-time to pay the bills. I didn't really like little kids until I started working here. The kids are fun, and I love my job. I plan on going to grad school for quantitative psychology. I want to be a statistician. I want to either analyze data or develop/score tests. My lifetime goal is to find a cure for antisocial personality disorder. Maybe not so much of a cure, but a way to convince sociopaths to not act on their impulses.

I want to travel the world, especially Russia and Egypt.

I can make people feel awkward. I've found the best way to do that is simply by being completely honest.

I make the best peanut butter pie. Even though it's not my own recipe. The recipe is on jif.com, decadent peanut butter pie.

I think I'm a genius.

People notice my amazing purple glasses. If I'm wearing contacts, they notice my hair first.

I am currently working on reading every book that has ever been banned or challenged.

I work evening shift on Fridays, so I'm usually watching movies with some kids. Before I was working Fridays, I spent my Friday nights eating take out and watching t.v. That's how I celebrate the weekend.
