I am idiosyncratic, funny, and outgoing.

My Self-Summary

Where to begin, where to begin. Well, this is my second okc account. I just moved from Baltimore to Gaithersburg to avoid my 3 hours in the car commuting every day. I don't really know anyone in the area, so I figured I'd put up a profile in hopes of meeting some people.

I love my family with all that I am. My parents have been together for 27 years. I'm the oldest of 4 and I have a brother, 22, and 2 adopted Chinese sisters, 5 and 7, who are the ladies of my life.

I play drums, though I haven't been in a band in a number of years. I now write electronic music.

I have 1 tattoo, of the Pearl drums logo. I like it. I have no piercings.

I'm the kind of person that would have a 1970's sky blue 3-piece suit from the thrift store. And I do.

I think life is pretty fantastic, overall. I like things that make me smile and / or laugh.

What I’m doing with my life

I'm very happy with where I am in life. I graduated in '08 from UMBC in Information Systems, and now have a job working full-time in Quality Assurance at Bethesda Softworks. It's pretty nice, I'm not going to lie, but it is brutal. I've worked 6 days a week for the last 5 weeks, and will be for the next 3 or so until the end of our game. I have my name on 2 video-games thus far and I'm in the same credits as Eliza Dushku, Alan Cumming, and Malcolm McDowell, which I think is pretty cool.

I’m really good at

-turning really awkward situations unawkward.
-making people laugh. My friend Stephanie once said that I'm in the top 5 funniest people she's ever heard.
-fixing computers and other electronic thingy things.
-reading people.
-your mom jokes / that's what she said jokes.
-being ridiculous.
-drums.

The first things people usually notice about me

Physically: Eyes. Particularly my eyelashes.

And then you'll probably think I am a straight-forward, honest, pretty funny person.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: Selections from Kurt Vonnegut, Michael Crichton, David Sedaris, Douglas Adams, Jeff Lindsay, and Chuck Klosterman, among others. I also LOVE The Onion, which I would say more or less defines my style of humor I enjoy.
Movies: Clerks (or anything Kevin Smith, for that matter) Anchorman, Jaws, Memento, The Usual Suspects, Silence of the Lambs, Dr. Strangelove, Or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb, Amelie, zombie movies. Many others too but I'm getting tired.
Music: I like everything from death metal to electronica to funk. So long as it has good rhythm, I like it. My favorite artists include Meshuggah, Tool, Periphery, Mastodon, Amon Tobin, Modeselektor, Ellen Allien, Imogen Heap, and James Brown, among oh so many others. I highly suggest you check out Animals as Leaders' album because I can't stop listening to it.
TV Shows: The Office, Arrested Development, 30 Rock, Green Wing, The Mighty Boosh, Flight of the Conchords, My Name is Earl, Trailer Park Boys, South Park, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report. Sometimes when I get bored I watch Bill O'Reilly because I think he's ridiculous.
Games: BioShock, Splinter Cell, God of War, Gears of War, Metal Gear Solid, Dead Space, Portal, Half-Life, GTA, Fallout 3, among others.
Food: Well, I am spoiled and have a company chef at work, which is, not gonna lie, pretty sweet. I like lots of seafood, shrimp and lobster are 2 of my favorites. My dad makes pretty much the best Caesar Salad you will ever have in your life. It's exceptional.
I like beers, particularly Hoegaarden and other wheats, as well as Resurrection, but I also appreciate people introducing me to beers.

The six things I could never do without

-iPhone (sorry, but Google Maps in my pocket, everywhere, trumps most things.)
-Game Console(s).
-Computer.
-Music.
-Drumsticks.
-Laughing.

This is assuming you weren't talking about my family and friends.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

-How 99.78% of the time "lol" is used online, it's a complete and utter lie. Because of this, I haven't used "lol" in probably 2 years now.

-How they would advertise the iPhone on the radio in the 1930's, and other anachronistic things.

-Metaphysics.

On a typical Friday night I am

Exhausted from work and going to bed so I can be at work by 10. As of late, I haven't been doing as much on the weekends since I don't know where anything is in the area. However, I really enjoy hanging with friends, going to shows, barhopping], museums,

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

Hm... My nickname for the last 10 years has been Pearl. You'll have to ask to find out the story behind it!

You should message me if

-You can show me what are some cool spots in MoCo or DC.
-You would like to join me for a beer.
-You use proper grammar.
-You're not here just to hook up.
-You are a good conversationalist.
-You know the brilliance that is Green Wing.
